Y-y-y-y-ello in here!

Guess I should follow the crowd and announce my Forum Virginity? So here I am, a senior member for sure = 63 yrs of age. Been living in the Netherlands since 2008. Visiting NL since 1987, and NL was my Home Base for most of my music tours on this side of the world. Have been sampling countless strai...

Re: The Annual Four-Twenty Gathering - 20th April 2018

RATS!!! Just signed-on here...and only now found the 420 Gathering idea(s). Bummer that I'm on the road. But will be thinking of all you participants who have made the commitment to join the blowout. Hope to see some evidence (fotos) in the coming days. Remember -- be respectful of others . Don't gi...

Re: Looking before buying

I figure I’ll experience a poor exchange one day, but thus far closest I got was Paradox. It is in a trip report, but something like my bill was 11 euros, I had a 20 and a 1, so gave her 21, expecting a 10 in return. She looked at me said something to those two older men who ALWAYS seem to be sitti...

Re: Looking before buying

Like any business these days -- employees are not always (hardly ever?) thinkers. Too many small, dumpy c'shops exist these days. Too many major city shops don't give a hit. Too many owners are not onsite to regulate how employees interact with customers. Too many shops simply don't give a s**t abou...

Re: The Hague bans cannabis smoking in city centre in Dutch first

A toker/grower since 1971, I always felt it is more respectful of others to not smoke in their presence... outdoors or otherwise. While I enjoy the rights related to smoking weed here in NL, I also believe those rights do not allow us to infringe on others' rights (including not smelling it, or bein...

White Widow -- what happened to it?

Seriously -- is any shop (grower) offering the genuine article anymore?
You know, the White Widow that is actually "white" with resin??

All I can find in the past couple years is some distant mostly greenish relative of the true White Widow.
Is the original DNA lost forever?

Re: De Vliegende Hollander, Groningen

UPDATE: Have frequented this coffeeshop many, many time since 1987. Several years ago they renovated and now have a great appearance and roomy sales counter. No attitude, no pretenses... consistently the largest and best selection in town. Quality and varied menu at all times. Easy access from the t...

Re: Your 3 Favourite Coffeeshops

Unfortunately, in my opinion, after Homegrown Fantasy was forced to close by some politician with a grudge against them (and the late Mayor) the Best c'shops are now gone. All the remaining -- and I mean every single one -- are merely runners-up.
