Re: Any coffeeshops or smoke friendly bars near Amsterdam Arena?

Back to the original question, I'm not sure about a shop near the arena, but I was across in January to watch Ajax in the stadium. When I was in hunters, I mentioned to the bud tender that I was going to the football, he said sternly that I should "be prepared", I was crapping myself that ...

I'm a lightweight

Well about 5 years since my last visit, and boy am I a lightweight now. I remember the days of buying a gram of 8 or 10 different strains per day and smoking non stop from when I arrived till when I left often smoking on the way to Barneys for breakfast. Well I returned for a short stay, arrived Sun...

Its been a long time

Its been about 4 years since my last trip to the playground, but I'm owed a few days so am going with a mate in early Feb. I was a regular visitor before I stopped probably going 5 to 8 times per year, often attached to business trips. Even after the business trips dried up I still went a few times ...

Re: Your 3 Favourite Coffeeshops

I suppose it depends on when you visit and what time of the day it is. Since they stopped selling Beer in the shops, i have cut down from 6 - 8 visits per year to 1. I really think they have killed it, and it aint what it used to be. Even when i visit Holland on business, i often go and return on th...

You De Kuil / Cafe 420 old timers (I include myself in this catagory) I feel that this place is not as good as it used to be, it started with the pool table going, and then when they stopped serving beer (not their fault I know), that was the end, i used to love this place, but it aint what it used ...

Fucking luxury, I had a trip booked and could not find accommodation, so as a last resort stayed at the LaCanna hotel (should that be shithole), you had to wear a wrist band to get in, the shower was mouldy, I went to a public swimming pool for a shower. I even bought a sleeping bag and my own pillo...

I spent an evening in Groningen as I had a business meeting the next day, the only shop i tried was Metamorphose, i tried the Nepalese and snow white, both were very good, the other thing that was a change from Amsterdam and Harlem which are the two places i have scored before, was the fact that the...

Derry (owner of Barneys) is married to Sissy (owner of Amnesia), that is why the two shops have such similar weeds and prices

I have to agree with Worsall. This used to be my favourite shop in Amsterdam by far. Unfortunately since 1st April the soul has been ripped out of this place. Whilst the herb has always been good, it was never a Connoisseur shop like the Grey area, Tweede Kamer or Barneys / Amnesia. To me the beer w...

Just got back, there is an exchange kiosk in the airport just after passport control (and before customs). I changed up £210 and got 297 euros. the advertised rate was 1.44 (5 euro commission), the advertised rate at Luton airport was 1.33.

Has to be paradise, La canna, bulldogs and even Grasshoppers have their uses, whether it is the terrace at grashopper, a beer and sky sports at the bull dog, or a half decent breakfast at La Canna, they all have their place, JUST DON'T BUY THEIR WEED. I am not surprised Dutch Flowers is on the list ...
