The Allman Brothers Band

Post by Uncle Ron »

After nearly 46 years of performing, one of the greatest jam bands, The Allman Brothers Band, have exited Stage Left.

I am no doubt aging myself, however, I recall the first time hearing them was at the wee age of 12 (1973), the same summer that I first heard Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young (who?).
Peace...
Happy Jamming...
...

If you ask eric Clapton who's the best guitarist to ever live he'll either say bb king or Duane allman !! To me Duane was best best to ever live , I even think Jim Hendrix would agree with me too bad Duane died young! Guess it's was part of been a rock star legend !

A couple great summer nights spent listening to jamming on the lawn at Merriweather Post Pavilion.
There must have been a door there in the wall when I came in.

Caught Utopia's pyramid tour there in the 70's,
