Finally stopped lurking.
Finally stopped lurking.
Hello to everyone, I have read the forums many times over the years and have now booked my first Amsterdam trip (2-6th Feb). So think it's only right to join the forum that's given me so many ideas.

You have been posted on the February Whos In Town page.
Scroll down to your month and click it.
You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
If you don't see yourself, click your refresh or reload button
Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Set yourself up with your own T&T or Toke and Talk, where you pick the coffeeshop (your favorite) and the date and time, I will post it and you wait for folks to show up, if they do you'll have a T&T. If they don't you still get to enjoy your
favorite coffeeshop!
By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.
I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.
You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.
Any nice new menu pictures you can get will be much appreciated.
Always ask first, better told no than thrown out.
Enjoy

You're gonna have a blast dude - despite the changes over the years that you may see lamented here and elsewhere - coffeeshop closures, reduction of RLD, clean up of the streets etc etc. Amsterdam is still a mind-numbing sensory overload, breath-taking, bonkers, simultaneously nonsensical and always beautiful. Being 100% twatted on high-grade available everywhere at 9am while a city surges about you is a pretty surreal experience your first time and I think that's part of why it's so magical.

Ty , my faith in my ability to have a good time is strong also going to quest4trance at dhoem dhaam warehouse , looking forward to checking out a bit of the fabled dutch rave scene , though its got to be trance now as gabba would probably kill me

Cosmic place - and in my experience as a lurker-turned occasional poster - not only does this forum make even more sense when you have been there, but no one gives you a hard time if you revert to lurking for a bit!
Have a brilliant time in the Dam, and welcome to ACD!

Re: Finally stopped lurking.
If it's electronica-fueled nights (among other things) you're after, the best venues are De School and Radion (on Friday/Saturday nights); and perhaps Sugar Factory if you want something a bit more commercial/centrally-located.Namajnag wrote:Ty , my faith in my ability to have a good time is strong also going to quest4trance at dhoem dhaam warehouse , looking forward to checking out a bit of the fabled dutch rave scene , though its got to be trance now as gabba would probably kill me

Cheers delek, I looked at the de school but not into the night they are putting on. Did consider krafty kuts at Bitterzoet as that looks a good night . Hopefully i'll fuel up and this will keep me dancing .
