cheers CC. it's a "side-effect" of living in a legal to buy/grow state.

i do my indica concentrates/cartidges buying at the store-
kicking it off with some sweet tooth today...
Image
(click pic)

and save my grow room for personal crosses and exotic sativas
(which i can't find at the local dispensaries),
like this oldtimers haze harvested at 20wks of flowering five weeks ago,
which needs another couple months of cure...

-have an absolutely brilliant 420 blast ACD crew!-

enjoy. so glad the crew's discovered the little out-of-the-way wonder het ballon is.
still remember coming upon it for the first time in the summer of '82.
although the fijn details are a little furry. :) i do miss the old eclectic “hippy-friendly”
interior a bit compared to what it is now. yet, the vibe and quality there is still retained.

SLH is the far tastier of the two. i like its effect a little better as well.
none of the concentrates of classically energetic sativas have given me their classic energies.
the mango haze cart has nowhere near the energy of the mango haze bud i've gotten at katsu, for example.
seems it's best to stick to flower when you're looking for the cleanest and clearest of energetic sativa effects. YMMV.
Image

the ghost train haze bud is also cleaner/clearer and more energetic
than the ghost train haze waxy "terp sugar" i've posted pics of here.

pure oldtimers haze, green phenotype.
flowered 19wks under 11/13 light schedule.
8wks cure.
the high has gained cleanliness and clarity since harvest.
less "hazy dazy". a mild energy level has begun to turn on.
needs another 4-6wks i think to get right...
Image
(EDIT: the breeder at aceseeds just told me he
prefers oldtimers haze at 6 months of cure.
so i've got some time. 8) )

thanks to oldtimerUK for keeping this old pure sativa heirloom strain alive,
and the lads in spain for getting it out there to us.
https://www.aceseeds.org/en/oldtimershazestd.html
Haze was developed in California in the 1960s and 70s by crossing some of the best tropical sativas which had been imported during that period.
This mythic sativa, which has been the base for the breeding of the best hybrids for the past decades, was close to disappearing in the 80s from the breeding scene, due the introduction of the skunk and indica strains.
Oldtimer's Haze population has been preserved intact until today by Oldtimer, a british breeder, and then reproduced by our breeders using a wide variety of parental plants.
This pure Haze still preserves the genetic diversity that many present Haze lines have already lost, and it is possible to find phenotypes ranging from the mythic and nearly extinct “Purple Haze” to the most common “Green Haze” phenotype, and of course intermediate combinations as well.
Oldtimer’s Haze has an incalculable value for every preservationist, collector and breeder that is looking for a pure Haze population that still preserves the quality and original genetic diversity of this mythic sativa hybrid.

merry weekend.
they had everything i was looking at on their leafly menu.
(doesn't always turn out that way)
went in intending on some tahoe cheese too, but when they
opened the LA confidential cheese jar...
Image

bags flipped over...
Image

master kush (AKA high rise) is an old favorite.
want to start opening them up, but first
must. go. buy. snacks. 8)
cheers

EDIT: nice little foggy stone-over from the LA con cheese.
GG#4 gave a clean next-morning.
rude boi has a very earthy taste, along with the plastic side
of chem, and light pine. a lingering light citrus/sour remains
on the tongue afterward. good stone and appetite stim.
clean next-morning.

top-shelf tuesday at many disps.
Image
Image
$15.84 out da door.
quantum kush is a mellow fellow...
pretty well-rounded clear chill to it.
nice social vibe- not introspective
(i.e., that creepy quiet. sensitivities heightened)
light piney-chemmy-minty
(in about that order)
taste thru the vape.
larry gets the try tomorrow.
cheers

EDIT: liked the triangle larry OG so much
that i grabbed a larger quantity today...
Larry of Oz/$190, tax inc.
Image
(28grams, ~ $6.80/gr.)

aromas are the science-y side of chem: iodine, acetone;
along with some standard issue pine, and a bit of earthiness-
but not to a bitter earthiness like the rude boi (name-earner!).
taste matches the aroma.
it's the high that i like- very euphoric, anti-depressant, and
remarkably clean- and clear-headed. some visual and audio
distortions, that can make you laugh if you're not careful. 8)
that's what the high's like when you just do a few pulls on the vape.
do any more tho' and it can get a little racy. but the euphoria is
still there, so it's not a racy nightmare. ritalin-ish.

strain background: a cross of Larry OG and Triangle Kush
https://www.leafly.com/hybrid/larry-og
https://www.leafly.com/indica/triangle-kush
this cross seems to express its hybrid vigor along the lines of the
triangle kush's "...clear, active effects stimulating creativity
and discussion drive this strain's production."

more crosses from the land of larry...
