ACD Page: De Vliegende Hollander
Here you can only buy- no sit n' smoke! Looks very modern and they offer their Weed on a Screen where you can see the price of a gram. They had some Amnesia Skunk for about 12€ and some lower quality Purple for 6€. The friendly Budtender told me the good weed starts at 10€ and that the hash is recommend if u want to safe a little bit money. I bought some very very nice Zero-Zero Hash there and would visit again!

December, 2015:
Vliegende Hollander and Reykjavik both belong to the same owner. As far as I can remember the only place weighing in front of you for 5€ minimum. You can only buy not smoke here! About eight strains of weed and seven hashes available(including Skuff).
Went for a bag of Jack Flash and Bubblegum on advice and found them to be good enough.

First shop we visited in Groningen after breakfast. Checked out the cheapest weed : "Purple/5€" which was just full black. looked kinda cool but hm not the thing we really looked for maybe next time. We decided to go for "Jack Flash/10€ 1,01g". Budtender advised me a place where we can smoke . Nice and friendly and good smoke!

July, 2016:
Since I'm a sucker for cheese I went for something of this and think a kush. Both around 10-12€/g. Not special at all but did the trick.

Re: De Vliegende Hollander, Groningen
UPDATE: Have frequented this coffeeshop many, many time since 1987. Several years ago they renovated and now have a great appearance and roomy sales counter. No attitude, no pretenses... consistently the largest and best selection in town. Quality and varied menu at all times. Easy access from the train station (short 8 minute walk). I occasionally peruse other shops in town but rarely purchase. Just checking-in to see how they rate in comparison to De Vliegende Hollander. For my taste, they do not rate at all. Dees used to be consistent quality but now it's a crapshoot... and basically the annoyingly pre-packaged dried-out goods.
In 2018, there is no reason to operate as a dumpy, dark, thematic hole-in-the-wall. I usually avoid easy to find shops close to the train station, in a line of tourist restaurants like those close to Centraal Station in A'dam, especially the tourist traps like Bulldog, Grasshopper. But this place is not a tourist trap. They are a genuine and knowledgeable bunch.
Here are some points of interest at the Vliegende Hollander:
* Excellent, fresh supplies.
* Competitive prices.
* Knowledgeable, experienced staff.
* No cheating on the weight!
* Smoking area, plus several outdoor tables.
* Most of all -- THEY CLEAN AND WEIGH YOUR ORDER RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU.
No pre-packaged, dried-out products here (as is common in so many c'shops these days). DVH is Old School. That is refreshing in this era of tricks, themes and under-weight tricks.
Hadn't been here in about 4 months, visited this weekend, and felt I should report back to those cruising the 'net for info. If you're in or near Groningen, it's worth a train ride. BTW: There's an awesome Vietnamese restaurant called Pho Saigon about 8 minute walk from DVH. Tiny space, but authentic Vietnamese!!
