Who is watching? Lance is out (good!). Big fan of Schleck here.
But the tour girls are best

Yes I'm watching , was lucky enough to be in France last year on the first day, this picture is taken after they had climbed the hill from Monaco onto the Grande Corniche on the way to Nice
i also filmed the Paris to Nice Race this year from the same place

Wow...
was the vid of the Tour de France or the other race
I have some questions
if tour de france
how long did you have to wait for them to pass...like did you have to stake out your spot in advance.
Was it hot
were the people nice
after the pellaton passed...how long did the rest take to pass
as ....was it worth waiting for...
Is it better for tourist to see from countryside...or to see finnish in Paris
I have Tour de France ... and The running of the Bulls, on my list of to do
They are both so close in time that it may be possible to do both...
Also the Tomato throwing festival
I thought your video was great
could you tell more of the story.... please

Forget Paris for the TdF, the place to go is the mountain stages. And yes, people stake out spots days in advance, often camping nearby. You only get one view of the riders per day, it is almost impossible to see them, them drive ahead and see them again.
The Alps are my favorite places to see the riders...Alpe D'Huez or Les Deux Alps are two classic locations. Of course, the tour goes to different places every year but Alpe D'Huez is usually on the ride once every few years.

The picture was of the tour de France from last year on the Grande Corniche.we were up early about 8 o'clock as were all the neighbours , before the race starts there are literally hundreds of cars vans and floats come past trowing out sweets, hats ,fridge magnets , balloons and other little trinkets.
The race never actually past us until about 1 pm . as we were only about 5 km from the start when they arrived the all came at the same time, woosh all over in about 8 seconds......the weather was amazing , as it usually is on the Cote D'Azur....
