Well, I tend to agree with you on that, the only thing in favor of baghera, is that they Italians over there(-; me like, as I can practice my rusted - almost nonexisting - remains of Italian I knew years ago..CopenhagenCouple wrote:@.Amir: easy times FTW! great menu, good service, plenty of room, did we mention the great menu?
Thanks for the report. Did you notice if they had the Mr. Nice Hash Plant?DeLekkersteNUGS16 wrote: ↑Thu 23rd Feb 2017 11:13 am Finally made it here this past Tuesday, whilst making an extensive cycling tour through the eastern and southern fringes of Amsterdam on a nice sunny day.
Original intended target was de Kade, but I figured as this was an Amsterdam Genetics establishment it would be much kinder to my wallet than Kade. Decor is for the most part pretty sparse and bland, there seemed to be a smoking room if I recall correctly (maybe I'm mistaken?) but I was enjoying the weather that day and had a rendezvous with my Sticky Brick Jr. planned at nearby Beatrixpark, so didn't really scope the place out much. BT's here wear a weird mix of the the uniform's at the other place with with a brown coat that looks like Rick Sanchez (mad scientist from R&M) and a UPS collaborated on uniform design. Pretty sure this place is fully part of the AG given the prominence of the logos.
Anyway menu largely overlapped with that of the three Boerejongens establisments (Bij, West and Center) but the actual menus themselves weren't as nice looking, but rather were computer monitors above (not embedded in) the counter that just displayed the whole menu at once. Doesn't look as cool as the Boerejongens menu set-up but is certainly more convenient for you and the BT as you don't have to prompt him to constantly flip through the various sub-menus as you vacillate ever-so-stoned between which strains to buy.
There were definitely some different menu items than the other establishments, and the menu did seem a little less extensive as well albeit it did seem a hair cheaper than even the western AG branches, cheapest buds were "Boerejack" which looked like your typical "WW/PP" sorta deal at 7.50 per gram; and some white russian which looked much nicer for 8.50. I opted for "diesel" for 10 euros per gram, the "tangie-terp" was very present in this diesel so my hunch is that it was a somari-diesel or something of the like. Smell was nice, and transferred over well for the initial puffs on both the Sticky Brick Jr. and PAX 3, although it seemed to run out of "flavor depth" faster than most of the other strains in my arsenal, so there was something a bit lacking in the flavor dept (although the first puffs as stated were tasty as), that said the buzz given off by this stuff was very pleasant, one of the times I noticed a distinct buzz over multiple different times consumed.
The prices and menu looked very intriguing on the whole, and I would definitely like to make it back out that way to sample more of their wares.
I can't say for sure. It does sound like something that could be or has been on their (Amsterdam Genetics) menus. Still need to make back out here, also have a crack at De Kade as well!MJ420 wrote: ↑Fri 24th Feb 2017 06:07 amThanks for the report. Well I think I mentioned above that I swear I saw one to the left when you walk in, but it could have just been a faux-smoking room like the set-up at Boerejongens West for example, but it would seem you answered your own question anyhow - if there's a smoking room that you saw, then that would automatically disqualify it as a true B&F shop now wouldn't it?!
Well that settles it, I saw "ROOKRUIMTE" on the google-maps view, so it would appear to not be a buy and fly joint. Btw in case you didn't see the translation below rookruimte = smoking-room
