WOW, that is one hell of a fantastic week. The only omission is the night of the 22nd., a spot to settle for the evening session, our last night as we depart at 1400hrs on Monday.

Looks like none of those arriving on the 18th are interested in going to Zandvoort so, if the original group of Sammysarahh, Trad, Docgonzo42, Igraine and me are still up for it, we could set off a bit earlier, rather than waiting for the arrivals. That way we'll get back earlier and can catch up with the others then.

For what it's worth, the current weather forecast for the week is for sunshine and showers. There's little consensus among the websites and it's too early to be reliable but the Thursday, Friday and Saturday might be the best. I think we should smoke lots of burnt offerings to the weather gods over the next week or so to see if we can make them smile on us.

So far I've left the evenings of 21st and 22nd open. If we can't decide before we leave, I guess we'll all have met up by then so we can make it up as we go along.

I think you mean Sunday 21st is your last night then? So a venue for the traditional Trad - Gapie smokeout. Where have you got in mind?

After Spirit, various places have been suggested: 137, Relax and Haarlemmerdijk in one direction; Catch 33 in another and Sound Garden, Funkey Munkey and 1e Hulp in yet another. It would be possible to get to all of them but some are only really accessible on foot.

Where you'd like to finish up for the evening might determine which of those directions works best. For instance, from Haarlemmerdijk we could stroll along Haarlemmerstraat via places like Barney's Uptown. Keen walkers could fit in Catch 33 on the way to Haarlemmerdijk.

On the other hand, catching a tram to Sound Garden would place us by tram routes in two directions, which might be good if you want to spend the evening in the centre. In that case, any of us who want to could walk to Catch 33 and then catch a tram for part of the journey to Sound Garden.
