Alrighty, you saw the weed came from the bottom of the tub and you proceeded to pay for it and you say you are a 'pro at customer service' ? How can this be ?
To paraphrase 'I got ripped off. I was frightened of the guy behind the counter. I sent the missus in to deal with him. She got a proper deal. I'm not going back'
Perhaps, you should leave the buying to the missus and sit outside and wait patiently.

Thank you for your kind responses.
Pro means I don't fuck with the customers if they don't fuck with me. Enough of that.
We were treated professionally polite all over the city, went to about 20 or so coffeshops, and this is THE bad experience of the trip.
You guys react like I pissed on your holy grail or something like that, are we a bit defensive here?
And please don't go with the 'you could just leave without buying' bs, that's not the point here!
This is not whining, it's a 'WTF? didn't see that coming!' comment.
Enjoy your future stays in A'dam, we certainly will.

But you don't work as a dope dealer in a tourist center do you ? Different kettle . .GreatDane wrote:Thank you for your kind responses.

And so you were ordering your drinks and weed speaking the Dutch that you learnt before arriving in the Netherlands, so that you could reciprocate in a similarly polite fashion then ?GreatDane wrote:We were treated professionally polite all over the city,
Or were you just politely waving euro's ?
20 you say ? I guarantee you were turned over a few times and you didn't even spot how and when it happened. But it was done so politely.GreatDane wrote:went to about 20 or so coffeshops, and this is THE bad experience of the trip.
Not me, I'm Innocent of all charges. I've never stepped inside Basjoes even once, but I do have over 25 years experience of buying dope in Amsterdam.GreatDane wrote:You guys react like I pissed on your holy grail or something like that, are we a bit defensive here?
It is the point. You could have left without buying . There was nothing to prevent you from doing so. Why didn't you ? Is it because you are a lazy customer who expects everything to be handed to them on a plate and when you are not, you want to sit outside the coffeeshop sulking ? If you are not satisfied with a transaction , register a complaint with the person you have the dispute with. I will ask again. Why did you 'send your missus in ' instead of going up to the counter yourself and resolving your dispute ?GreatDane wrote:And please don't go with the 'you could just leave without buying' bs, that's not the point here !
Once again. You didn't get what you thought you were paying for. You knew this when you saw it wieghed out. You did not have the courage of your own conviction, to ask for a refund or an exchange of goods. What would you have done if the 'Orange bud' was not up to scratch ? Send the missus in again ?GreatDane wrote:This is not whining, it's a 'WTF?
If you learn and understand a little about the 'back door', stock levels and tourist-led extensive menu's in coffeeshops, you will perhaps start to understand a little more about how a coffeeshop operates and how sometimes the shop might be a little less than honest with it's new customers.
GreatDane, I think what I and others are saying is . . . don't part with cash anywhere you are not happy with the deal. That way the budtenders, will be kept more honest and everything will be better all round for all of us.

'But you don't work as a dope dealer in a tourist center do you ? Different kettle . .'
- Used to. But that's 25 years ago. I'm from Cph, Denmark if you hadn't guessed already.
'And so you were ordering your drinks and weed speaking the Dutch that you learnt before
arriving in the Netherlands, so that you could reciprocate in a similarly polite fashion then?'
- And I should learn dutch as my fourth language - why? We don't expect you guys to learn danish
even if you settle here.
'20 you say ? I guarantee you were turned over a few times and you didn't even spot how and when it happened.
But it was done so politely.'
- Exactly
'Not me, I'm Innocent of all charges. I've never stepped inside Basjoes even once, but I do have over 25 years

- Ok, you're probably the only one here who hasn't met James yet.
Most comments warmly recommend his place, you should try it too...
It was our first visit in 10 years. I went there in the early eighties as well, but not to stay, just pickups.
We loved being back and we will definitely do it again.
It has been a giving exchange of opinions, but I don't want to take up more space as my points should be
adequately accounted for by now.

So you know how it works. Ugly truth is, some days you just have to shift stock. . . .GreatDane wrote:- Used to. But that's 25 years ago.
Well there's one more place you might want to try _GreatDane wrote: It has been a giving exchange of opinions, but I don't want to take up more space as my points should be adequately accounted for by now.
http://www.basjoe.com/ They have a message page. If you want to send a complaint to the right place, a comment placed in the guest section could be a good way of getting 'settlement' and perhaps who knows, maybe you might get an apology.
Now lets hear about the '20 other places' and what you smoked.

Iko... reeeeelaaaaaxxxxxx.... take 'er easy.... if you take that attitude with you to Amsterdam will be ok... if you take that attitude into Basjoes, you'll be in the same frame of mind as James.Iko wrote:Why Justboy ?
Smoke quality , or just attitude , bad vibe , selection ?
We are there in 5 days , so any info would be very helpful.
When I first visited, I walked up and said "I came to be terminated", and I think the first thing out of his mouth was not a chuckle, but a "how are you (today)?".
Basjoes is a quality shop, one or two bad experiences does not equal the more than positive responses on this site.
If you don't believe me, go to Basjoes, stand across the street so you're looking at Basjoes and Coffee Shop Bagheera. You'll notice why one place is generally always getting the customers, and the one which is not.
*and no disrespect to Bagheera, but it is no Basjoes.

ROTFL , i have no fucking clue what your babling about , but you will never meet a more relaxed person than myself.
I havent touched smoke in over 2 years , and was just curious what turned him off , the question was not posted to you so maybe you need to relax
.
Or maybe your too stoned and you'l realise in an hour or two that your being rude.
Regardless if i have a question for you , ill surely bring it to your attention.

Whoa whoa....Canadians...simmuh down, Donna Summah! You guys are supposed to be peaceful *shaking head*
BTW, I'd be willing to bet that your assumption regarding TC being too stoned to get what you were saying is absolutely correct. No need to come back at him with such hostility. Honestly, I'm quite sure there was no intention to be rude on his part.
