What do you regret and why

Post by ZigZags'R'us »

I recently went to amsterdam and don't get me wrong had an amazing time.
The first regret was setting up a toke and talk in BasJoe's going there for the right time if not early, getting totally smashed and not being able to comunicate with anyone.
There was supposed to be 2 scouse girls coming to the talk and i'm pretty sure they turned up and the thing that made this worse was that they were very attractive which did not help at all with my confidence of approaching people.

With that out the way my only other regret was that i did not take notes so when trying to type my report up i got one day done then posted it and then started on the second day which i finished went to post and the site said i was logged out, so with much frustration typed it again and the same thing happened which was the end for me and have not finished my report, if anyone wants to see the first day it is called ZigZags birthday smoke up or something like that.

Anyway would be good to hear someother stories and hope that mine is not as bad as it feels

Looks like you had a great time. I found it better to do the write up using Word or something then when its finished you can then just copy and paste into here. Pissed me off a few times when I lost my trip reports while writing them via the forum first.

I have 4 regrets from amsterdam trips.
1 I waited till 6th trip to rent a bike. I highly recomend this it is great.
2 Not going in June on all my trips. 2 trips in nov. 2 in feb. and one in april/may. The budtender Ferrie(sp?) from the Sativa in Haarlem always told me to come over in June its the best time of year. Luckily I did on my last trip and it was worth it.
3 I wish I would have went to some of the Toke & Talks. I have only met 3 poeple from this board, all great people and wish I would have met more.
4 Bring back more of the Albert Heijn coffee pods, I love those things.

last Toke and Talk had half oz in big lovely joints lots to bong but no one really was up for it, one toke and pass it back. so of course i smoked all the joints and lost it big time after chatting for about 10 mins id say what was i going on about, done it constantly for about hour and a half got to the point they might of got scared and they legged it
ive set up more toke and talks this trip which should be amusing and would love fit ACD girls to attend them you lucky bastard, should never feel shy in Amsterdam. i dont have regrets in amsterdam just things ill improve on next trip...

Totally agree Stu! Lifes to short for worries, put me in a Coffeeshop with some dimes and I will most definately make an effort to start a conversation with them ;) Can only make your trip better right?

I can relate to this, not being a heavy smoker these days. We'll see how the T&T on 4/21, 7:00pm at Basjoes goes.

My regret was losing my only copy of the ACD coffee shop map with coffee shop notes on the back, caused alot more walking and thinking. Next time I'll have more copys and a notebook.

Oh dear! FEEDBACK, NOT FAILURE!!

I didn't take notes for my first trip report...I didn't know I was going to write one! I think I got pretty far into it before I forgot the rest of it!!! This past year, I brought the notebooks...but you have to REMEMBER TO TAKE THEM OUT AND USE THEM!!! (I also suggest having LOTS of writing implements, as people steal pens!! :D )

Read other people's trip reports from the same time...you can see what the weather was like, if you forgot to note it, like I did...(Thanks, Balou!)

Also...make sure your date and time is correct on your camera...it really helps jog the memory for that particular day...some things in my pics are not in my notes...

I do make notes of what I'll do differently next year...like note the weather every day!

Talk to the stoner chicks!!! Stoner chicks rule! WE SMOKE POT!!! We will talk to you!! (If you are in the same coffeeshop as they are, you already have something to talk about!)

Regrets?? Not a one...

Forgeting to pick up my plug converter before leaving the house, my pens and old notebook (All log in details for internet in).

Not bringing more than the 15gs i walked through customs with.

Not finishing my 2 smoke list.

And last but not least, Returning home.
