if you haven't seen one, the Verdamper is a very different experience to the Volcano. Its made from glass and looks more like a giant bong. Its filled with water so you also get the bubble effect when you hit it, just like with a bong. For me, its more fun/satisfying than doing bags.
dude that sounds really interesting. The only vape experience I've had has either been with a volcano in Amsterdam, or my little iolite which has aits own distinct method and high....
It's been a really long time since i've smoked anything resembling a bong.... I had a lovely bubbling bong back a few years ago in College.... but nowadays i'm stuck on spliffs or iolite... an occational toke on my hash pipe....
I'll have to try one of those when I'm up in the dam next...

Ive just been looking at getting myself a vap. The iolite looks interesting. Is it worth getting one. Easy to use etc?

I have never heard of the iolite until this thread, so I did some research and wow, how cool is this little device? http://www.my-iolite.com/
At E180 for the device and E252.64 for a top kit, might still be a little on the expensive side for some, including myself. I am however seriously thinking about buying one. My current vaporizer is a Vapir One which cost me E149.
If I decide to buy one, I will add my thoughts and opinion in the Headshops and Paraphernalia folder.
One question - how does it provide a distinct high as compared to other methods?
Peace.
Got my iolite a year ago(when it was an i-inhale), and though it's a nifty wee thing it bears little resemblance to the hit of a big vape. Nice enough for a taster when yer out an about but if you're looking for something to use regularly at home, i'd save up for a small verdamper (313e on EDIT). Don't have one yet myself, but that's the next step for def.
i dont add baccy to my joints as a rule i dont really smoke anymore.except when im in amsterdam. first think i usually do is buy a pack of american spirits off the plane. i usually intend to only smoke a few then give the pack away but i usually go through a few packs i tend to smoke alot when im walking there.
educating myself and waiting for the next trip.

Thanks for the personal insight.
The iolite looks like it would suit my needs perfectly, which is to provide that "just right amount" to get my head and body sorted while I am on the go. Since I prefer bowls (I refer to pipes as bowls) over joints, odor becomes an issue. But with small devices such as the iolite, I may not have to deal with the lovely stench of my bowl, not to mention my clothes reeking.
i got a friend whom stop smoking Cigs about 5 year ago he did it wit the patch 12 week steep! « my point is this guy still puts 50% baco in he's joints he never got craving for nircotine and if you ask him if he's a Baco smoker he'll tell you NO! when he desided to stop not even smoking in he's face wouldn't even bodder him « my point is if you got in your mind your NOW a NO-smoker and keep your head HIGH! you can stay a no-smoker un like what we hear that cigs are hard to stop smoking is UN_TRUE!! in 2009 60% of the ppl whom stop smoking in American Europe and Ozland all did it COLD TURKEY!! « best way also cause you aint taking them drugs that can cause other problem like Chapix (chamix) witch 50% of ppl who take them end up have metal problem during or after and 3% will end up killing themselfs!!

I and a mate got one each a few months ago, sometimes Im happy with it and sometimes Im convinced im not getting a proper stone from it, its a very expensive toy at best id say, not a real solution in my humble opinion, it might be ok for a very light smoker with very low resistance..it gets very hot as well so i dont like sucking on a hot pipe which is unavoidable if you want a good hit, long slow draws are required, also its crucial that you use good dry buds ground very finely, wont work properly with Thai/Hi Grade etc as only burns the surface so compressed buds are wasted in this set up...good luck

well put, i'd say that sums up the i-olite perfectly. Got to say the customer service i recieved from the manufacturer was top class tho, sent me a free acccesories pack next day post when my tube snapped off.

Thanks for the info. I'm a medium smoker but with high tolerance. I wish I could give it a go before buying. I tried a few before buying a Vapir One, so no surprises. If I had the additional funds, I would have bought a Volcano.
Oh well, back to bowling I suppose.
