Wouldn't surprise me. It is illegal to grow herb even in Amsterdam (well that is sorta untrue... you can grow up to 5 plants for personal use ...think it is 5 anyhows, might be 3) but the growing rooms needed to supply all the coffeeshops are illegal and usually run by mafiosi or other 'undesirables'. Shrug. The one major flaw in the Dutch Policy.

The supply chain to the Coffeeshops is in great jeopardy. Many of the shops outside Amsterdam are having a very difficult time getting any weed at all, let alone good weed. Many of the small growers have been busted and shut down. Because of a new level of enforcement there are fewer and fewer and the coffeeshops are really starting to feel it badly now. On television almost every night there are stories about enforcement and a special group here in Amsterdam that only bust and destroys gardens. When busted, they don\0t get jail time but can lose there homes and be put in the street. Even in Amsterdam it is very hard to find top quality weed in ANY shop. There are a few exceptions and these are hit and miss. I was in Greenhouse Tolstraat a couple of days ago and the budtender told me they would not have there cup entry for sale except on a very limited basis. I found some Diesel Haze at Club Media that was adequate for 11 Euro or 3.8g for 23E. I found some Super Haze at Supermarkt that was OK too. Also 11 Euro.

But generally the weed is shit, over fertilized and immature. There is talk everywhere of shaken buds and even using the powder out of florescent lights to cover buds with. So beware and choose very carefully. I have confirmed this many times over the last few weeks. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but these are the facts, and it is going to get worse unless all of the cannabis people in Holland start coming together again.
This was reported by a guy over at Channels who now lives in Holland.
