they dont usually get banned or fined. just a 5 min major in the penalty box for fighting. there are unwritten rules in hockey. if you do a dirty hit on a teams best player your more than likely going to be involved in a fight. most teams have an "enforcer" on their roster. a player whos not really a great hockey player but is a tough as nails fighter. my all time fave enforcers are tony twist and breshears

the GOOD FRIDAY FIGHT 1984 in Montreal vs Quebec even the fans were fighting that night the city of MTL was in somewhat choas !! i remembre this night cause we got kicked out of my uncle home (me and my father) cuz of drunken idiotic fight over what city was better and being HABS fams and uncle being NORDICK fan started a fight!! i was fight my cousin and my father beat uncle up!! and we never spoke to that part of the famely again till the death of Grampops and Gramma in 2000

YUP!! City vs City (montreal vs quebec) just like foot hoodlums but hockey its was sad you can say!! we not got problem wit the foot (scoore) MLS league MTL and TORONTO fan like to fight after the game and cause choas ...last year they put some extre securety for them game wit undercover agents possing has fans and busting whom they thik are trouple ppl from out of town and think samething happends in toronto and they dont sell beer at those game !

unlike some parts of the world they dont split the fan one side habs and other side of rink the other teams fans ppl dont fight in crowed and singing pff beside say bad stuff about other team or players we dont like saying BOO..nah nah ..hey hey good bye! and oey oey oey....

i know at one time in NHL (b4 the 70) ppl would fight in the croweds and even some players would go up in the stands and fight the fans

one of my fave hockey moments. kinda lame i know because its the allstar game. but always thought that was great. remember watching it w/ my friend and his fam. my friend says after "next game dad im calling my shot like that" and the dad says "if you do that your grounded and im benching your ass"
