I was lucky enough to catch the Rock-steady Documentary last night. Great stuff.....get on the I-player folks....its good to get something back from the license fee every once in a while..

one of the best doc made on this subject.
(i can recommand you the "Sudio One Story" DVD too from Soul Jazz Records if you're like this stuff... with King Stitt toothless )

best moment for me is when Derrick Morgan talk about his life, his so-many sons and the face of his wife...
and when he sings in the old theatre is a pearl

have you see the gig from the end too ??
i have to catch the dvd for get/see it, it's look like a great moment of great music

14 children, and he had to calculate it first, lol, but yea the face of his wife was priceless, lol, what i did like about the documentry is that it didnt just focus of the Wailers like so many other things on Reggae do, neways... great stuff and enjoyable to watch

A great documentary, took me back to the rural Jamaica I visited in the 1960's/70's.

i have just listened to it twice through while doing my tax forms, i have the the harder they come dvd and saw it when the film came out in the states in the summer of 1973, that was the first time i had heard reggae and when i visited england that september, reggae was everywhere already ... so interesting documentary and great music
