Very interestin' "cattales1960", but i'm unsure about this and hope you, or some other resident of the USA who might be better placed can tell me, does this mean that "Willie" will not be dragged back to court at a later date, if the moral majority's outrage demands an old mans blood?, as this D.A.'s days are surely numbered.(Much to enlightened when it comes to "Willie's" plight )
I'm sure politians local and national will have a field day at the first given opportunity, as "Texas", i always thought of as bein' one of the worst 'states' in the US to be caught doin' anythin', let alone 'drugs'. Unless your second name is "Bush".
So could "Willie" end up spendin' what's probably, you'd imagine, the last years of his life, behind bars if this D.A. catches enough flack and is totally discredited?
Or, can his decision not be overturned?

P.S. Are there worse 'states' to be caught with some 'grass' than "Texas"? (Sorry "BigRigRob" i've just remembered your from "Texas" and any other ACDer's who live there, as this is certainly not me havin' a pop ...more, lets be careful out there, ....don't want to be possibly duetin' with "Willie" in the jail, pardon the pun )

It looks to be a done deal. Once a deal is made here and all parties agree, it can't be reneged on. The big cities in Texas are pretty relaxed about weed possession, it's the small towns you have to worry about. They actually passed a law here a few years ago where you can get a ticket and confiscation if it's less than 4 OZ. I would think Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and Alabama would be places you don't want to get caught with weed.

Well as the baby boomers age and these people are our government officials, I think they are getting pretty lax on pot. Our jails are already over crowded so they are finally getting smart and not locking people up for personal comsumption and everyone in the world who knows willie knows he is a big pot head so I think he will be ok. Heck its not legal in my state but if you get caught with a small quantity and dont look like your dealing it, its usually just a ticket and a fine. No jail time. I think its funny though how she is making him sing for her... ROFL
