"For more than 40 years, locals and travelers have trusted the Time Out family of magazines to bring out the best of the world's greatest cities. Time Out Amsterdam is the ultimate insider's guide to everything Amsterdam. Each month, we feature the hottest restaurants, bars, exhibits, events, and people that make Amsterdam one of the most unique and exciting cities in the world."
I subscribe, its good and a friend of mine works there. You need to get the magazine, the site is not all of it.
Sometimes there are almost no good articles, but tons of gems, restaurants, shops (ladies), club listings etc. The coffeeshop issue is nothing anyone here wants to read, but they are good people with lots of inside info.
I didn't know this guide at all until I found the pdf version today while surfing the net.
Very good indeed! I prefer a print version because it's better to read.
I love Amsterdam and I do not mind to spend a bit of money for it, because it is made very good!
I think I'll subscribe it.

Yes, subscribe, you will love it. We get everything for free these day, its easy to forget people work to make the content of magazines. respect
I love this Magazine! Great rundown on EVERYTHING to do and EVERYWHERE to go in the dam. Shame there isn' the same thing for places in the Netherlands!
Based on the high praise (no pun intended) for Timeout magazine, I ordered the Timeout Amsterdam travel guide for my December trip. Time to try something other than Let's Go or Lonely Planet.
They use to publish a Weekly TimeOut Amsterdam 15-20 years ago but then it stopped. It must have started again in 2010. Amsterdam was in need of a good regular English language listings magazine so it's good that it's back.
I think the TimeOut Amsterdam guide book is the best one. They use to publish a new one once every two years but there hadn't been one for four years until a new one came out in May. I don't think the latest one is quite as extensive as previous editions, although still very good, so if you're looking to buy one the 2007 edition (10th edition) is more than adequate and can be bought very cheaply 2nd hand on amazon.
