Hi nelz, i really appreciate your reply and do feel a bit dickish for even mentioning it, as i do feel it was simply a mistake, especially after seeing the pictures. i'm not in town till November and no need to make things up, the devils 13 was nice. ill be back anyway and see whats in stock then, i look forward to it :) Cheers!

Hey Nel

Me and my girlfriend will be heading over to the dam at the start of November, we are planning on spending a lot of time at your shop after reading the fantastic reviews. it's her first time so I'm looking for somewhere chilled out and not too creepy at night and we are staying just along the street so should be perfect. I've been twice before and stayed at the greenhouse effect which was awesome with all the boys but a not really her scene as it got a bit mental on that street at night. I'll be taking a camera and doing some reviews if that's cool and I'll be sure to introduce myself and ask first but anything I review I'll post up here.

Peace from Scotland

This shop really climbed my preferences. Being a maroccan hash lover I could not miss the gran cru. I bought 3.5g of it during my trip doing multiple buys and so I tried also different batches and they were all lovely, It had the original maroccan strains flavour and can be smoked at any hour 'cause it had a balanced stone. Tried alo a gram of their Champagne Haze, really nice haze smell and fruity taste, one of the best sativas of the trip. Plus this shop has the only good coffee in amsterdam (at least from an italian point of view) and the staff IS the best in town, nel and ingi are really chilled and helpful with every costumer that came into the shop during my stay

Was in here last week before i went to lowlands

i had a present for stan , which i've been wanting to give him for months , and since i was travelling
to Flevoland , i decided to leave an 2hours earlier , so i could smoke and meet stan.

Arrived in the dam at 09:20 , normally i would hit up voyagers but that wasnt possible.
Read on forum utopia was always open early so thought id go here.

The lady behind the bar was amazingly friendly , showed me all their weeds on her own , great service .
Took a look at champagne , 18, lemonskunk and devils g13.
Some of them were a bit shaky , but she said she'd take all the buds . I took 20euros of ls,g13,and champage.
gave me a drink on the house .

Stan walked in and we laughed about the weedpass , showed them my collection of passes lol.
The lady behind the bar even told me about a few GOOD recommendations at lowlands i'd had to go see.
Glad she did cause the shows were banging :D

Then walked back to the station with Stan and a spliff
Relax and take notes , as I take tokes of the marihuana smoke

Lemon skunk was super citrusy. Very smooth taste, very morish! Nice buzz. Done around 5 grams of this stuff in total.

Strawberry diesel was equally good, really did taste like strawberries! Can't wait to get more next week!

Champane haze - don't normally like hazes, but well, :D :D nuff said

Poped in just to pick up on my last time I was in Amsterdam only because I walked passed. I purchased a gram of the champaign haze after reading some good things about it on this website. I did not stay long even though the seating looked comfy, instead I opted to enjoy this wonderful bud laid out in the sunshine on the Rembrandtplien. This was quite possibly the best weed of my trip, right up there with the stuff I had picked up from voyagers. When we left to go to the Ajax match that afternoon I was high as a mother f**ker and enjoyed the match so so much thanks to the champaign haze.

Go to this shop and try the Haze, that's an order solider
I like bananas, monkey nuts and grapes. That's why they call me Sam of the apes

I must say that I think it far more likely that the boss has weighed two grams from the same box than for there to have been one weed in two boxes.
I've checked the boxes today and all is as it should be.
However this does not make up for the fact that you paid too much and did not get the weed you'd asked for, and for this I must apologise again- mistakes happen and sadly more frequently when the boss is behind the counter!
Are you still in town? If so come by, and if not then I'll sort you out something by way of compensation next time you're here.

THIS IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I like the shop ok, but it's the staff that keeps me coming back... well, that and decent gear at a reasonable price (all things considered).
Happy trails...

Over for a last-minute bank holiday weekend, I'd intended to visit Utopia for temple ball (the highlight of the hashes I had earlier this month) and to try the champagne haze.

I was gutted to find that the temple ball was gone. That made my choice easier – I didn't know whether the budtender would conveniently forget my purchase of a gram of the haze if I subsequently asked for 5g of the hash. So I smoked the weed, and yes, it lived up to its reputation and was worthy of being one of the few green purchases of the trip (I was determined to stick mostly to hash, for practical reasons, but there should be some weed to go with it).

The next day I thought that if Nel thinks the grand cru is the only hash worthy to be on his menu, it's probably worth trying even for someone like me, who doesn't go in for Moroccan hash all that much. But what with one thing and another, I didn't get around to it. Maybe next time. Or there'll be something else good on the menu, because it's all about quality.

In last week a few times, nice chatting with Nel about the abysmal English opening order. Then on to the serious business of weed - think I sampled the full range, all good smokes, devils 13 just nicking it at the post, though none as good as the bubba kush from april

Ok let's start with something negative. The boss of the Utopia is kind of a dick imo... not that he was rude or anything but there were a few little signs that me didn't likey. He will be a no go for me from now on. Still gonna enjoy coming there when the Nel or the lady (Inge?) are working. Nel seems to be one of the coolest budtenders in town anyways... :)

Thanks to Nel I got my hands on some great Nepal Cream that is too cheap to be true. Not even gonna tell ya the price just check the fucking hash out guys... nuff said. :D

Quazer- I must say that as far as bosses go I have had much much worse! I will grant that he is perhaps not the best bud tender, mostly due to him being from the hotel trade and this side of the business being way outside of his comfort zone. You'll be pleased to hear that we only call on his services behind the counter when someone is sick or to cover the odd holiday.
I'm glad you liked the nepalese, I can't quite believe how fortunate we have been again to get something of such high quality.
At the moment I am chasing a bit of the old school cheese, like what Homegrown used to have. Not there yet but hopefully soon! :)
-nice things for nice people-
