Nyc diesel was yummy on Monday. Sticky fuel smelling goodness which sent my head into a spin.Sat in the booth downstairs near the pool table. Also picked up their tangerine dream which was nice morning smoke.

Re: 1e Hulp Coffeeshop
The most comfortable coffee shop in Amsterdam, an extensive menu and nice staff. I bought 2 grams of Kaligria for E24 which was a really good smoke. I also bought 1 gram of Nepalese temple ball which was not good. But don't let the dodgy Temple Ball distract from the fact that this is a class coffee shop.
BTW - 1e Hulp is owned by Rizla the cat who can be found asleep on the premises most days.

The Nepalese temple ball was the only thing I regretted purchasing on my last trip – in fact, it was the worst smoke I'd had for ages, possibly ever in A'dam, and really put me off the place.

I forgot to mention that though the stairs up to/down from the main smoking room can be a challenge when you're stoned, the stairs down to the pool room are the ones you should look out for, be careful of the small top step before you get onto the main steps.

"Nepalese temple ball" can be a euphemism for old tyre at times, but I had purchased some really great Nepalese from Utopia and I had let my guard down. I still like 1e Hulp just give the Temple ball at E9.50 a miss.

Re: 1e Hulp Coffeeshop
The thing is, a shop shouldn't sell crap. I was there last week, and looking to stock up on good black hash. I decided to have a nightcap at 1e Hulp, about half an hour's walk from where I was staying. I was looking for a pleasant way to end the day, but I ended up smoking rubbish and being ignored by the cat.
That's what I like about a place like Utopia, which I suppose I should say on the relevant thread. Tastes will always differ, and what is outstanding for one person may not be for another. So maybe I'll find one strain there worth making a detour for, and another, well, it's OK, but I don't see what all the fuss is about. But I know that if it were actually crap, it wouldn't be on the menu.

Re: 1e Hulp Coffeeshop
Be there yesterday for t&t, bought some zero zero (7€/g) Intensive care for the same price & Silver kush (11€/g).
The zerozero was lovely soft, sweet & creamy as always ... for the price this piece of hash is so yummie...
(9/10)
Intensive care was good as always, great white widow smoke, clean and a little bit lemony after taste (8/10).
I'm a little bit disapointed by the Silver Kush, taste was good but nothing special, this stuff don't have the kusk kick i'm looking for. (7/10)

Re: 1e Hulp Coffeeshop
So I pop in at 9.30 for a morning session. The lady budtender shows me a few varieties and I settle on a g of Golden Amnesia and a coffee. A bit of a queue has formed so I say no rush with the coffee and I'll have a bong when you're ready too.
"oh I can't give you a bong, one of the downstems got broken last night."
"that's ok, just give me one of the others I'm sure there not all broken"
She refuses, saying there is only one for smoking, the rest are for sale. I know she's bullshitting me, maybe she just can't be arsed to fill with water one of the three bongs behind the bar that are obviously all for customer usage, I've used at least 2 of them before.
Anyway, I cancel the coffee and leave. Fucking hate attitudes like that, especially in shops I like.
Perhaps the owner would care to comment? He was a nice guy last time I was in town, gave us a free sample of the BHO. So why the lies from the tender this morning?

The bongs were all clean already, I really don't get it. Never had a problem here before.

At the end of the shift she would have to clean them, so if she don't let you use them she has one less thing to do.

I am aware she has to clean them, it's still bullshit.
