American Express Offices CLOSED

Hello Everyone,

Arrived in the Dam yesterday after being away 11 months.
was shocked to see that AMEX has CLOSED all of their offices in Benelux.
So, any of the Yanks coming over here take note.
In most cases it costs an additional fee to change over travelers checks.

The best rate I can find just to convert into Euros for even currency exchange is a miserable 4-5% fee and lucky to not have additional fee for the checks.

Potts Change at the end of Dam Straat (Dam side) seems to at least be up front and honest with conversions.

Traveler's checks are a pain. ATMs are the way to go. Assuming your bank does not have a large fee for international withdrawls.
