In contrast to football Gareth Thomas, capped 100 times for Wales at Rugby, came out and was shown nothing but support from the wider rugby community. Perhaps it shows a somewhat more mature attitude amongst the supporters compared to the minority of homophobic Neanderthals that masquerade as football fans.
