Durban Poison

Post by Kathar »

I don't see this strain mentioned much; it has been available to me quite a bit recently. The taste right off was literally candy sweet. Aged it just has much more of a mellow kind of plain good grass flavor. But...

It is VERY trippy. As in, closing the eyes and thinking you are floating and your neck stretching out for a few hundred feet trippy...

I have to admit most pot before this made me: sleepy, bored, paranoid. I like the mellow effect of hash a lot but never got a lot just from weed. This stuff really "woke me up".

Yes, that is a strain I would like. An original sativa that hasn't been fucked with, from South Africa. I'm getting this from the Cannabible. I think Siberie has it. I've never seen it in the States, as it is mostly outdoor. I'm sure it's here in the warmer places. Lucky.

I was lucky enough to have a decent supply of Durban Poison this time last year. Loved the stuff. Also picked up a couple of grams in Homegrown Fantasy (I think, but could be wrong as memory is a bit fuzzy  ) decent enough smoke. A bit, but not much, better than the stuff I was getting in the UK. Definatley buy it again but not a top end smoke - good if you have something to do or somewhere to go.

From what i've heard it is fairly easy to grow indoors even in modest heat (75 degrees Fahrenheit)... germination i've been told, requires more heat. Though it yields fairly low unless you really let it grow to the full height of 7-8 feet. Though what you yield, both leaf and bud, produces some intense sensations. Though once pulled out of the zone it was easy enough to 'get on with' the rest of the evening and not be couch-locked.

growing pure sativa indoor, that is brave. fair play to ya matey. they get huge and take what seems like years to ripen.

when i was in SA they called this bud Binga Cabbage after the town we got it from. that name never stops cracking me up and if i saw it in a coffeeshop i would literally piss myself.

durban poison is the shizzle. my two pence.

had some durban poison from homegrown fantasy yesterday. grown with db genetics in a greenhouse in holland. nic3e fresh bud, no seeds but not as crazy dripping in crystals like top buds. EUR 5 per gram. sweet as joint filler instead of tobbaco with ice hash joints
