Don't forget if you were underage they would be the ones in a whole load of trouble not you. But it is a service industry and sometimes you'll get a bad apple.anarchy4uk wrote:there were 3 of us and we are all 19 and showed them are passports
they were just being plain dickheads
never mind humour, british sense of humour is piss taking so i know the difference
Personally I love the Dutch sense of humor and outlook on life...

visited here on new years day and what a peach
the que for the bud was long when we got there so we sat down n smoked our own while waiting for it to die down....
coffee's were great and the vibe in there was great, the decor is pretty cool n lends its self to the nice chilled out atmospere
me n mrs got chatting to some great people there too, there was a local guy in an electric shopping chair, apparently only goes here and has done for 10years and buys a pre rolled every day, he's suffering from some rare condition and has seen loads of specialists over the eyars and always ends up telling them about the illness and anyone else who will listen i guess
the que died down (well as much as it ever did) to 2 people so i joined and spoke to the bud tender and she was great picked up a lovely bud of laughing budha which made my jaws ache after grinning like an idiot for so long, so id say it was good
after a while we got chatting a young group of italians who were busy skining up a huge joint (i recon they had 3-4gms of weed plus a nice rolled out hash centre) we left before it got lit sadly as they were disapointed we werent staying to share with them.... GRRRR mrs wanted to go site seeing
anyways was a great place n well worth looking out for

hate this coffeeshop with a passion, hope they close down, your much better off buying shit weed in a coffeeshop with a friendly atmosphere, than going to this one, i smoked super silver haze when i went to amnesia and it really fucked my head up being in that coffeeshop coz everyone was talking about us, they clearly didnt want us there. i hate the miserable bastard behind the counter and the rest of the local miserable dutch.

I dont feel quite as strongly but I'm not a fan of Amnesia or the attitude, we waited for about 30 mins for our drinks once and this was because they were serving all the locals that came into the shop after us to make matters worse this was after I'd spent close to €50 on their gear as well, I'd be more than happy never going there agin.anarchy4uk wrote:hate this coffeeshop with a passion, hope they close down, your much better off buying shit weed in a coffeeshop with a friendly atmosphere, than going to this one, i smoked super silver haze when i went to amnesia and it really fucked my head up being in that coffeeshop coz everyone was talking about us, they clearly didnt want us there. i hate the miserable bastard behind the counter and the rest of the local miserable dutch.

Went in here to get some of their TopDawg some weeks back. The place seemed OK, but I got a pretty "commercial" vibe from it - I mean, all CS's are commercial, but many don't mind providing a friendly/welcoming atmosphere.
In addition, the budtender didn't speak a word to me when I was purchasing my gear, and seemed like he was having a bad day (the customer in front of me got the exact same attitude) - a pretty stark contrast to my next stop, The Grey Area, where the dealers are (in my experience) always friendly and smiling.
Overall, I just didn't feel very welcome there, and I did not stay to smoke.

So sad. I have not been there since the change in ownership and redecoration of the interior. I always loved Amnesia - was my favorite shop. One of my fondest memories is sitting there watching someone chatting with the owner at the time (Sissy?). After 20 minutes of staring, I finally recognized it was Nol chatting with her. I ordered a coffee, and when I paid, she gave Nol my change! He commented that it was a pretty good life, hanging around in coffeeshops, getting high, and, now, getting paid for it as well!
Anyway, sad to hear it has changed. I will probably still stop in on my next trip anyway, just to see it for myself.
