rest proof clockwork is an album by Plaid; saw them live in london at the barbican festival hall together with Mouse on Mars and Coil; one of the best concerts i've ever experienced!

right now i'm listening to Martha and the Vandellas' "heatwave" from the scorpio rising soundtrack while enjoying some fresh, organic double dutch;

im sure it does, its just that i dont have it any more :lol:

i used to be a fucking duracel bunny, boucing all over the place, going raving, getting smashed till 6am and then waiting in some god awfull freeezing train station for an hour untill my 2 hour train home.

but to sound like a stereo type, the come downs started to out way the nights out, and i found my musical tastes switching with my change of lifestyle. got into really deep chill out/psychadelic/trip hop and ultimatly dub/reggae, whihc is my love now and has been for some time.

i still listen to my old tapes, because they are special to me, but i dont have the feeling to still follow the scene.

Ahh...thanks man...wow wish i'd been at that gig...the last time (only time)I've been to the Barbican was to see the LSO play Frank Zappa music back in the 80's.
So,you being in Austria...would you know the Swiss band Kubus or is it Kubulus ...?

Right now,listening to A deeper shade of euphoria... 8)

I hate bumping/quoting myself but I can't stress how good an album this is and for me it's probably album of the year.

Edit: Couple of videos of tracks taken from the album:

Did you see them on Later last week? I thought they were excellent.

I like to think I keep pretty current with quality music of all kinds, despite my age :D, and I couldn't believe I hadn't heard their stuff before. I've since downloaded all their albums and am working my way through.

It was the Later show that made me aware of them (I had read they'd won the mercury award) I've also downloaded the other albums, top band that I'm trying to talk the Mrs into going to see Live.

Another band I've started listening to are Chairlift, you'll recognise this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uHkrKg29d0 from the latest iPod adverts.
