On my last trip i decided i would drop in and grab a bag for the journey to my hotel. Pushed the door open and was confronted by a skinny dude who tried to push me back out the door. Confused i quickly said sorry as i thought i had opened the door on him or something. His responce was plain and simple F*#k off. To be honest i could not beleive my ears so i step outside and ask wots up? To be told again F*#k off again. By now i was getting upset but at the same time trying to calm myself down. I said i want some take out m8 nothing else. This time he told me F*#k off tourist so thats what i did straight on a tram to a decent c/s.
been here many times before with no probs and never seen this guy b4 in there so godknows who he was.
So thumbs down for me!
Obviously convenient.
Occasionally excellent.
Usually averagely disappointing.
The box is mesmerising, the product (by and large) ain't. Never had any hassle in there though.

Coffeeshop Central

Post by Bifton »

Traditionally my first point of call when I go to the Dam. Not so good now that you have to smoke outside, but always has a wide range of solids and greens. My tips are Peacemaker or XXX if you likes the green and Black Bombay or the Sahara if you like the solids.

Well that's what I think what do you lot think of it?

This is a good coffeeshop for an early morning score, something quite tricky to find in the dam as Amsterdamers are late openers (a bit lazy). You always get good value for money. The product is nothing special (IMO) and there is plenty of choice. If I arrive early in amsterdam (since falling out with Barneys a few years ago) I usually score in here then bob down the lane to coffeeshop 36(again opens early), to skin up and sup a overpriced coffee in there FANTASTIC back window.

BEST COFFESHOP IN THE DAM as already you only have to c the locals coming in and out and they r there at 7 in the morn queing b4 they go to there work everyday now if thats not telling u sumthing then go ahead and go to barneys , bulldog , grasshopper they r all to commercialised the locals will know there stuff alright u cant sit inside and smoke but what i do sometimes is i buy my main smoke from there then along the way i buy the odd gram or 2 from other decent shops that let u smoke inside but not hte big ones hunters also opens at 7 so if ur an early bird u can smoke in there

We only visited Central once, and it was the last place on our first trip.

The space cake was awesome (bought it for the train, amazing sleep!) and a pre-roll mix which was awful (only because of the tobacco).

Never had a chance to sample more than that... but since reading some of the recent reviews, most def stopping here first next time in Amsterdam.

The owner was a great guy and we chatted while sitting out front smoking in the early hours.

Friendly and really nice interior... actually made the mistake of lighting up inside, but the owner was cool about it... "if you don't mind, please not inside".
Amsterdam dreaming.............

Made it to central on my last day. It really is right across the street from Centraal Station. Will make it my first stop for a 5 gram deal.
