There is nothing magical about a 300 dollar bong. I've got a 4 foot tall, 90 dollar all-glass bong that hits just as hard as any at 4 times the price. Just make sure its all glass, the other stuff is just gimmicks and doesn't get you any higher.
My point is that the end result is the same - you get high. My $90 bong does the same thing as yours. Mine doesn't look as cool, and I wouldn't call mine art by any means, but it does the trick. You don't get any more high, one way or the other.
I don't build a bong collection either, I buy a new one when (not if!) I break it. The last one was good for about 2 years, and I've had this one about a year. $100 is my absolute limit, and most likely I will spend closer to half that on a plain, straight, all-glass bong when this one breaks.
I guess I'm a bit of a hypocrite though, because I didnt think twice about spending $300 on my vaporizer.
bongs have always been and will always be my favorite thing to smoke out of. Oh and Zbeebs, if and when if ever your in VT I will let you hit Beetle Juice hehe.
