Easy bigs, I'm pretty damn sure I got full 5gs, firstly I watched the readout on the digital scales closely when he was chucking lumps into the tray. I made no attempt to speak dutch, in fact a young dude who left the queue came back in before I got served, and explained in dutch that he was in line etc., to which I replied in English 'sorry I don't speak dutch', which got a few laughs after the dude went to all the trouble of explaining, so the whole shop clocked I was probably a tourist. The bloke who served me was a young guy with long brown hair on both Tues and Weds, no one else was working.

I don't have scales here (lent out, never returned!), but I cheekily brought back the 5g bags of White Choco and NYCD in my luggage...which got searched at customs, but that' s another story mate!....as well as a 3g for 21E deal of some 'Crush' from Blue Lagoon. Comparing both 5g bags to the 3g bag, they look a lot bigger, so I reckon they were both weighed correctly to start with.

A winter walk today got me here and I picked up a real nice gram of Grape Ape (8p/g).

I think it's the real deal, never tried it before, kinda cheesy slush puppy?

Looked at good batches (despite the snow) of org High Rise and Casey Jones, but was recommended the grape as being superior

Hi folk's, thought I'd post a quick update. Got a good supply of homegrown and not much cash at the mo but once a week or so I like to drop in here and pick up a cheap g of something for a bit of variety.

Around 5pm seems to be a good time for fresh batches. Yesterday I had a look at 4 sativa strains, the Casey Jones and the Honey Mex were re-filled in front of me from a box of new deliveries. Also looked at SSH and Heaven's Haze. Super Silver looked great at 9.50 p/g, but I took a chance with the Honey Mex at 8 p/g. Smell reminds me of Amnesia from Mellow Yellow, but really crystallized, fresh buds with an awesome long-lasting buzz.

Love this shop :D

Just been in and they didn't have many of the indica dominant strains that i wanted. No NYCD, chocolope or cheese. Asked for 2g of John Deere indica at 9e/g. Small upsale when i opened my wallet and bought out a 20e note but i gladly accepted as it seemed pointless. Definatly no bad attitude like some have reported.

Buds are light green with lots and lots crystals. Smell is ok, not exactly outstanding. Smoke was very smooth with quite an uplifting stone. My kif catcher got a good sprink from the buds. quite a nice smoke at about the right price point.

Popped in here last Tuesday, got 2g Lemon Haze at 9.50E/g and 2g Amnesia (also 9.50E/g). Both superb - the Lemon I've only tried once before but it pisses all over Greenhouse's Super Lemon Haze. Wish I'd bought more.

The Amnesia was the best example of it during the trip, bar none, and we bought Amnesia 5 times in 4 days: from Rokerij (AMG - 'G' for Gold - 12E/g) as our 1st purchase, De Graal (11E/g - 2nd best), Tuintje (11.50E/g) & Kabouter (8.50E/g). When broken up it reeked and was as sticky as hell. Classic sweet, full fruity Amnesia taste but more importantly it was the trippiest version we bought. Reminiscent of the 1st Amnesia I smoked many years ago, which gave me sweats, palpitations and a crazy high - well worth a smoke.

Thanks DRR - great reviews, we like the same coffeeshops!

Curious, what was the stand-out smoke of your trip this time?

Yeah, trying it right now. Perferct bud but the taste is a little bit "unclear" with a cheesy ending.

The smell instead is awesome!
The effect stoney on me...

Anytime kushy, in the spirit of this site it's only right to report back, I've gathered some great knowledge on coffeeshops from peeps all over the forum. I do look out for your updates on Bij/BJ as well as those from other locals in the know like the man deplana, as when I'm not in Dam it's always good to dream! :D

I think this time the 2 standouts were firstly Mean Green Martian from Boerejongens, at 10E/g it's the top priced 'Indica' on the menu as I'm sure you know. First impressions when the box was opened, which were echoed by the budtender, was that it has a 'cheesy' smell to it and initially it reminded me of SoGouda, but it's no cheese cross. Super sticky and potent, with a great unique flavour to it. The buds were pale green and quite compact and stuck to everything when broken up. I wish I had bought more of this and posted a load home!

Secondly, from Coffeeshop 96, their top priced bud alongside one called something like Cheeseymania, was C5 Haze. Similar looking to the S5 Haze from Mellow Yellow & Ocean, extremely pale lime green buds, not as rock hard as S5 however. The mrs found this the sweetest tasting haze of anything we bought, and it was right up there for potency if not quite as trippy as some of the Amnesia we got. Has the classic haze taste and smell with a twist, my powers of description fail me at this point but I recommend it if in the neighbourhood at 11.50E/g.

Haven't had internet for a week so not been able to post my find on the menu. The AK47 is absolutely mental from Bij. At 8e/g its an excellent bang per buck weed.

The amount of crystals that my catcher recovered is amaazing. It works about for every 2g of AK47 you get one free spliff of kif, complete bargain!

so you consider Bij's Amnesia best quality/price in the dam at the moment?
