So I was christmas shopping today and went into a sports place because there are a few guys we give cardinal shirts too and the average t shirt goes for about 26-35 dollars. Now thats Just a t shirt with the logo and I spot a clearance rack and it was jam packed with Pujols on the shirts. ROFL. People werent even buying them for 10 bucks. hehehehe. st louis feels like the jilted lover. lol.

God i was really hoping that the Jays would have had the winning bid to negotiate a contract with Yu Darvish. Now that the Rangers won that right i hope he totally flops worse than Dice-K :D

Looking for the jays to make a move for a starting pitcher, maybe Gio Gonzalez, Wandy Rodriguez or John Danks.

On a side note anyone think that Matt Latos is overrated?

i wouldnt say dice-k is a flop yet. we all saw what hes capable of. cant see darvish flopping. lets say his era jumps up 2 points from what it was in japan. worst case scenario hes lookin at like a 3.50 era. not shabby at all. but looking at the run support hes going to have...cant see it happening. im still salvaging hope the mariners land prince and maybe trade for gio gonzalez. blue jays should trade for matt garza.

well looks like we're going to miss out on prince w/o even making an offer. looking like the nationals will sign him. that said if we dont sign him and we don't get a top end player via trade im gonna be done with the mariners for awhile. theres even talk that we're such a lost cause we should trade felix...and knowing the mariners front office..they probably will. the mariners front office doesn't care about winning, they just want to turn a profit. look at the blue jays. same story and they have been cellar dwellers since like 1995. we have been shit since the 2002 season and im fed up. mariners fans are being mocked on blogs across the country. people saying other fans wouldn't put up with this and would have stopped showing up to games. and its true. mariners fans are constantly making excuses, talking about the next superstar coming out of the farm system and flocking to games. we need to have a season or two with an avg att of 5-10k fans to get the front office to realize we are truly fed up. but alas..this is the same ownership we had in the mid 90's..and even though we have a reasonably new state of the art stadium they;ll threaten to move the team. anyway this mariner fan will remain a fan...but until the mariners prove they are actually trying to win i wont be stepping into safeco field again much less get season tickets like years past. *rant over*

Jesus you sound pretty fed up man.....and with good reason! (Honestly i cant believe that Prince is still out there).
What is the average attendance in Seattle? It does look like a damn nice ballpark. It must be pretty disheartening when your team shows no desire to win NOW and is more than happy to just be medicore. You referenced the Blue Jays and that was a good example. Havent done fuck all since 1993 with their best season being 1998, 88 wins! Great, then we fired our manager Tim Johnson for lieing on his resume that he was a soldier in Vietnam. There were alot of years where i really did give a shit, and other than Carlos Delgado there really wasnt any reason to. Although over the last 2 years since Alex Anthopoulos became GM i have become a serious fan again because i just think hes a thorough smart dude and i believe in the direction hes taking the Jays.
How long have the Mariners had their current GM? Do you think management was the reason Gillick left? (honestly i dont remember how that ended). What happened with Don Wakamatsu? he was the bench coach in TO last season and seems like a solid baseball guy. Maybe after getting burned with signings like Figgins their taking a shall we say Rays approach to building a team? i.e. finishing last for 5 plus years and getting elite talent with top picks that now with the new CBA could be more affordable?
I dont know just dont give up man it could be worse.....you could be an athletics fan

jack z is an ok gm but hes kind of a coward. doesn't take chances on risky moves and is cheap. the o e big move he was part of was trading for cliff lee and we know how that ended up. gillick left because he was ready to retie i think.avg attendance at safeco is 20k or so i think. just enough to keep the front office unconcerned. we used to draw 3-4 mill fans a year now i doubt we draw 2. wakamatsu was an ok manager but not good enough yet imo. good bench coach.relying on young talent is risky. we havent really had any talent pan out for years aside from felix and pineada. i dare say arod was the last one to turn out to be a star.

reading the news rumor as it not only are we not going to be getting fielder but the mariners are lowering the payroll 15 mill or so to 78 mill. last 2 seasons we have been horrible and each off season the front office response is to LOWER the payroll. pisses me off its insulting to the fans.i dont understand the front ffice..you get arron helland..whos horrible, sign sherril..and another pitcher. why WASTE money on pitching when you have ZERO offense. like i said jack aint a bad gm...but hes starting to look like the gm who got us into this mess..bill bavasi.

seattle mariners apparently close to a deal via trade for a well known "young impact hitter" whatever that means. apparently brandon league isnt part of the deal. pineada better noy be unless its for hannley ramirez or someone of that caliber.

Goodbye Pineda.... Welcome to Safeco Jesus.... Still don't know if this is a good thing or not..... After all, this weakens the M's rotation in a major way... However... Smoak, Carp, Ackley and Montero offer genuine bats....add in a, hopefully, a rejuvinated Ichiro, and a return to form for Figgins  and ya possibly have a lineup that wont finish bottom of the AL west

cantona you have good sources my friend!

It must suck to lose a raw talent like Pineda. One way to look at though is a pitcher is only out there every 5 days. You have seen with Felix ( and i with Halladay) that one elite starting pitcher isnt going to elevate a team or take them to the next level so to speak.

Montero should end up being the catcher of the future. I hope he works out for you guys and you enjoy watching him. If his 69 at-bats last year is a sign of things to come, then your lineup is much better. Not really sure what the yankees plans at catcher now are but hey thats there problem.
