Super small. No extras...not even coffee on my visit. Lots of choices on the menu though. Tried one of house specials. Greyberry or g13? You can't go wrong here, unless you want to sit down.

I enjoyed my visit to Grey Area this year but in the past, not so much. I did once receive rather curt service there and decided that it would be a better buy-and-fly spot for me rather than a place to hang out and toke, even though it seems that everyone wants to be seen there.

When I went back later during my stay this year, I bought the bud recommended by the budtender and while it was a good smoke, it did contain 2 immature seeds. I tried planting these seeds, only one sprouted and then dwindled and died, but I blame myself for that.

In the future, I think I will stick with their tried and true strains like Yellow Cab or NYCD. I still feel that the seating there is some of the most uncomfortable seats at any coffeeshop. Even the lousy Funny People coffeeshop added cushions to their uncomfortable bench seating after the unfortunate remodel.

Even though this may not be my most favorite coffeeshop in Amsterdam, I admire their reputation and I have a lot of respect for their success. I will give the Grey Area 2 Thumbs Up and recommend it for a buy and fly experience.

^ I completely agree. I've never had any bad stuff from here. Quite the opposite, in fact - I always love their OG strains, diesel strains, grey crystal (and the like) and grey haze especially. That said, I've never had particularly welcoming service. The budtender often seems uninterested, although he's never been outright rude or anything...

I've stopped here at least once on every trip since 2009 and that's not about to change. But the one time I actually got to sit down it was pretty uncomfortable and disruptive because of the queue so I'll also be sticking with buy n fly's

Must be why we are only directed to the best smoke, given gifts, treated well, chatted up and under charged.

Sorry to hear about this type discrimination....but I guess there are plenty of places that hate Americans too!

Interesting I've had nothing but great service from here over the years. In fact, I'd go as far as to say this is one of the places where I have most consistently had great service. From the patient and informative displaying of their wares to the constant freebies we seem to get I can't think of a single bad experience.

Guess everyone just loves Brits eh?
