Farewell, my favorite place in the Universe.

It was nice to know a place like that existed. One where I would walk in and always find friends. People who shared my passion for good weed and who often shared other passions as well.

I do not know how I will end my trips now that I cannot store my luggage at the train station and head to Basjoe’s for an afternoon of sunshine, love, and fine weed until it is time to fly again. I do not know how I will start them without a warm hug and a juicy nugget of my favorite Amnesia Haze. Amsterdam will never be the same for me without Basjoe’s.

Farewell, my sweet James, I hope that life brings you joy, adventure, good smokes, and lots of beautiful music. Thank you for the memories. I hope, more than I can say, that our paths will cross again.

Peace,
Amy
Well said Geeky!! We can only hope that the new owners are as chill as James was!! The original formula will never be forgotten!!!!!

Let's hope that James can do a smooth handover and help keep the shop in the same kind of groove and that the new owners can maintain the momentum.
Bet it's been hard for James running it by himself since the death of Leo, not only the workload but the 'ghosts' there too, so can't blame him for letting it go (at a good price ?) Leo Jnr didn't seem too enthusiastic either and he just might not have been cut out to do this type of work in the 'family' business.
Wonder if the displayed ACD Cup swung the sale for him 8)
No more swirly spacecake then :(
I'm going to have a nosey in there at the weekend and see what gives.
Adios James and thank you........ good luck and welcome to the new owners

Some folks take a rope and make a noose, :( other folks take a rope and make a whip.
(maybe a little less funeral, and a little more wake?)
Cheers James! Best of luck on new endeavors

I've been reminiscing most of the day about the great times I've had with the peeps at Basjoe over the years... a slight sigh into my crying towel.
Regardless, only a few hundred shops to go before all the buggers have been sent packing.
