Any idea when the new owners take over? Disappointing not to see James again as my next visit won't be until the end of March and I'm sure he'll have gone by then.
As some of you know my last experience there was less than great (James' son being unfriendly and rude) but I wanted to give it another try as I thought James was nice.

Ok, here are my first impressions of the new Basjoe's....
The outside, no change.

The inside, all posters are down replaced by seashell-shaped lights.
The cup is no longer displayed; I think James kept it, as he should because it belongs to him.
The menu - a new style menu but similar to most other shops.
The gear - not much change, added a couple of new items, Sour Diesel weed and ICE hash (looked good but I didn't buy any - low funds) going for 25/gm, and a few other goodies.
I bought some AK47, very nice. Clean burning and a nice buzz.
There were two guys working the bar, Misha and Johnny. They were chill, respectful, and somewhat eager to please. Johnny did have a couple of problems with the coffee machine, but it all worked out in the end. Growing pains, it's all good.
Bottom line, although James isn't running the show, it's still a nice place to chill, and I will return.
Happy trails...

As long as the comfy seating, and large tables remain, it should still be a great shop for meet ups..

When Stan and I walked in Tuesday afternoon, there were no posters on the walls, only seashell lights. We could see where the posters had been hanging. Maybe later on Tuesday evening or on Wednesday they put them back or replaced or whatever, but they were not there when we visited, and neither was the cup.
Happy trails...

no, no, no... no need for sorry. if anything, it's my bad for saying posters without specifying that they were/are large framed picture posters...

Have a nice evening...
