Just to give you a heads up, the lights at night are bright enough inside to make the patio very bright too. Good if you want to see the weed, I guess. Do the patio in the afternoon if you are gonna. I didn't, I am still in mourning.
The real question with the 2 g menu is whether you want a repeat clientele or whether you don't plan to have people come back, and just want to bank the most cash on 1 transaction. I avoid those.
Also, the word on the street is that they did/ may still have the ends of some batches from James but I didn't look.
edited just for typos- i suck at typing on my iphone.

Thanks for your recent report geeky, I did wonder if you would step foot inside Basjoe's following James's departure. It was the first coffee shop me and my wife had ever strolled into together maybe 6 years back and I will never forget the ambiance and the dark purple/red lighting in the evening. It was so cool and I remember feeling deeply happy, excited and contented. I think the new owners have an impossible act to follow and I doubt I'll be crossing the threshold again, I would rather find another 'home' and always remember the magical times when James was there.

I'm sorry, I didn't actually go inside, so I don't know about the games.
I just walked by at night, saw how bright it was and felt too sad to go further. I'm sure other less strange forum members will come back with some actual info.
James is definitely traveling these days, which makes me so happy for him.
Fortunately, there are other great shops with great people who helped fill the void. I still had a great trip, even without my love.

Was here in Feb. A really cool coffee shop with outside seating over looking the canal. Not the biggest bet definitely one of the most friendly with a nice selection of Hash and some tasty Haze's. it was quiet and the sun was out so we plotted up outside watching the world go by. Excellent coffee shop thats is well worth a visit

Was just here and the place was PACKED. Kush was sold out here as well. Damn you 420!!!! *shakes fist*
Got some bubble gum which was decent I suppose.
People were playing dominos, don't know whether it was from the shop though.

The soul will have no doubt been sucked out of this place now. Dont wanna sound harsh on new owners but will probably not return.

bas, i got a moody 'welcome' and nothing more than a groan and a 'dont have that' under the previous owners so infact im pleased to try it again with new management. i know im in the minority as everyone seems to love this place. maybe they just didnt like the look of me which only looks bad for them. i admittedly dress like a typical uk youth but im polite as hell and didnt deserve the miserable service i got. i wasnt even aware it had changed hands.
that said i would have given a second chance anyway. we all have bad days

You sure you got served by James bro? Coolest and funniest mofo in amsterdam he was. The vibe in that place was just better than anywhere else i went. The product was good too. I simply had to order me 5gs of Bas special, cant remember what it was but it was damn good

not sure who James is but the guy who served me was a black man with dreads. As I said I'm sure I just caught him on an off day and I have plenty of those myself
The majority of the people seem to rate the service highly so I'm obviously just the unlucky one. I don't want to put anyone off giving the shop a go, lets make that clear. One man's junk is another man's treasure etc. The bas special didn't look too appealing at the time to me so I ended up getting heavens haze which was quite nice. Would have been better if it was handed to me with a smile though lol

Popped in a couple of times due to the weather being so good. I love the view from the terrace and sitting in a window seat. Service was friendly didnt buy anything but were now offering 1 g buys on the menu. Hot chocolate was eeerrr not hot more warm chocolate to be honest but came with a fuck off huge emount of whipped cream. Music was real old stuff ranging from old 50's records and jonny cash and then more jonny cash !!!! I believe its under same team who have Goa now ? which looks like it has been revamped when we strolled past.
