Yeah take the 45 min to 1 hr scenic route though Vondel with a doobie, atleast the journey won't be a total waste of time. Go durin the afternoon and get a cooked chicken from the last fruit/veggie at the top of Kinkerstraat. 4 bucks, delicious. :D

The walk up through the park takes up to an hr and is by far the most interesing route up there without hiking for miles. How long it takes to smoke the joint depends on it's size, what's in it and who's doin the smoking.

DC, sorry to piss on you here, but this shop is right outside Ray's house, just around the corner from boere jongens. It has the same big selection as Boere jongens, it's a nice shop :)

Not keen on the poster telling me that if i smoke everyday it means I have a problem and need to think about changing. I say that is fucking bullshit and a stupid poster to put up. I choose to smoke everday not because I have a problem, but because I want to. When my smoking interfere's with what I want to do, and I can't stop it, then I have a problem.

That's what keeps me out of the shop and just in Boere Jongens :)

'Piss' on me mate?, lol Andy, I don't think so. Yer not 'contradicting' me either, nothing I've said is untrue...Before it's "change" it was a canteen lookin place with shitty gear. I guessed at the menu based on what it was, because the dude can't remember what it is. People want to hear menu, prices, decor and atmosphere...'Check it out..It's cool"...'It's nice' yeah...erm...ok!?!. Even with a better menu, or, 'the same selection' as the nearest coffeeshop, still no reason to pass the Boerenjongens, not much reason to even be in there either unless ya live up there. As for a tourist destination..hmm... not if it was my holiday that's for sure!. There's fuk all up there to see or do cept Rembrandt and Sloter park, and that's a long way for a park. But each to their own I s'pose, goodluk to anybody that tries it.

Could it not be said..Until ya stop doing something ya do everyday, ya can't truly know it isn't effecting your life in a negative or positive manner. There's a big difference in 'wanting' to do something and 'needing' to. Smoking isn't going to interfere with what you want to do...cos it is something you want, so that makes no sense. Do you 'need' to do it everyday is what the poster is emplying and stopping is what you 'have' to do to findout a true answer. Whether ya want to, or not. Que, chicken and the egg song.

I noticed it too. They operate in "joint-venture" with De Damprinkg for the campaing Amsterdam Coffee. To promote a "positive" image of grass and hash.... I agree, it's a big fake.
:D

I can remember the menu. I just wanted to give you the opportunity of being surprised by this shop. With a blind visit. But you don't dare to move your ass to the Baarsjes anymore....hehehe.

Beside the well-know products of Boerejongens, at Bij you can find Amnesia Cheese (7.5EUR)/Jungle Haze (6.5EUR)/Amnesia XL (8.0EUR)/Martian Mean Green (14EUR)/The Cough (14EUR)/Big Budda Cheese X Chocolope (12EUR)/Big Budda Cheese X Something else (12EUR).

The quality is still high as @boerejongens. Actually this place has opened to take some traffic off from the other shop which is always pretty crowded, with people in line outside too.

 That's it

At last!. The length of time ya gotta wack something with a stick to get the truth. Fek me.

So to repeat myself...If you happen to be up there, go to the Boerenjongens, the shop...not it's overflow. It has a better view. Shame it's in the Baarsjes. The fact the Bij is now run, helped, whatever (or atleast their weed is) by the same guys means it's improved a million % to what it was. I'm fukt if I can think of a reason why it's not good for people to know this straight off the bat though, instead of passing Bij off as a new shop. (hmmm...taxman maybe  ) Anyway, the reason the Boerenjongens is successful up there is because it's Dampkring weed for slighty cheaper prices and the dealers aren't bad. Awsome if yer local as most of the other coffeeshops surrounding you, suck. But the location makes the difference in price arguably incidental when it comes to being a tourist. Insignificant when it comes to Bij....unless yer bored.

Insert crowbar, apply pressure....

So, oh Mystic Meg of coffeeshops...do enlighten us further with yer guarded pools of knowledge..

Tobacco?.
Wifi?.
Has it been decorated?.
What sort of tunes are they playin?.
How many Begbies ya got per m2?.
If I have my own weed and would like to smoke it while indulging in a tasty beverage and soaking up the local ambiance...is that allowed?.
Does a looza cost 3 euro?.

I went to Bij (translates to Bee) yesterday; a sister shop of Boerejongens. I sure was not disappointed! :D The shop is in the process of being remodeled so it was pretty bare. There was a Persian rug on the floor, a coffee machine off to the side, and metal shaped like a honeycomb on one of the walls. The shop was clean and bright. The dealers area was complete and the menu is just out-fuckin-standing. The menu is quite extensive, the prices are a few €'s cheaper than the more popular shops in town. There were several G-13 crosses, XRL, White Russian, G-13 Big B. Cheese and many others. I would say there were at least 20 strains on the menu and all the weed I asked to look at were of high quality. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is going to be a buy n fly only place, once the remodeling is finished. I will definitely be going back there! :D Peace.

I couldn't agree more...

I've tried one of the cheapest strains, Laughing Buddha 6e/pg and the most expensive The Cough 14e/pg.

For the price the LB was exceptional and The Cough was just out-right extraordinary!

Will be going to this shop to do a little shopping during the HTCC. After
making the purchases and testing them out in the Cashmir Lounge will
write about me experience.

Later...Lazaris

The Bij won't disappoint you. They have a lot of new strains on the menù in the range of 8-7EUR. Currently my favorites are Cheesecake, Mountain Jam, Silver Skunk. Also the Sour Choco and the Amnesia Lavender are upstanding choiches. The rest is good.

As you wrote, make purchases at the Bij only. Do not waste your money at the Kashmir Lounge. This place is only good to chill out but please, bring your own smoke.

If you wan't a little bit of thrills, you can attemp the coffeshoop 96. Is on the same street of the Kashmir Lounge (P.J.Heijestraat) at nr. 96. Always packed with a black crowd. Everybody looks really stoned inside here, at least from the windows. I shop here one time (just to see what was going on inside) and it was a pretty decent Diesel. Some coin-op machines were around.

have fun!
