this place feels like being out in the countryside and yet is very close to town ... just roll up a few smokes and take some food and drink and you'll have a great day out imo

Thanks Stoned. I thought I recognized the name Amsterdam Bos. It was from a post on camp grounds. Looks like it would be a fun day as well. Add that to the short list of things to do.

@DC, proper funny, i didnt even know it was a girls bike till u explained, seriously though nearly every bike out theres a girls bike then, i can just see the typical amdam household with husband telling wife to get her arse down to shop &get him a bike f**k that id go myself, u know it makes sense

@ Dirty Uncle Ron Amsterdamse Bos is well worth a visit as it het twiske (?) up to the north of a'dam - it's a big country park thing, loads of lakes, trees, play areas and a few beaches, another place to take a few spliffs and a picnic

A 'men's bike' has a bar across where you can crush your balls, thus making you a 'girl'. Fuck that, I only ride the girls version, known as Oma (grandmother) fiets.

I wonder if you rent a Scooter for a week and do over 1000km would they freak out of the milage you did and charge ya extra?

There's nothing gezellig about those whiny scooters, the least the city should do is make them use the roads and keep them off the bike path.
