Hey guys, howabout a TnT weekend in Van when there's an event where sport takes place (Romney speak ), that includes your fav teams going at it.

This was an amazing moment in my life.

I was a die-hard Jays fan from 1983 to 1994, watching or listening to EVERY game on the radio or TV for over a decade. I made scrapbooks for every season as they unfolded...clipping and saving the boxscores and recaps from every game.

I cried in 1985 when we lost to the Royals after leading 3-1 in the ALCS.

I watched in heartbreak as they lost the last 7 games of '87,,,,and with a chance to tie for the division on the final day that year, Jimmy Key LOSES a 1-hit complete game to the division winning Tigers.

But then... things changed soon and "The Trade" brought Joe Carter and Roberto Alomar to go with Winfield, White, Olerud... the pitching staff was one of the best in history with Jack Morris (254 wins), David Cone (Cy Young), Al Leiter, Pat Hentgen (Cy Young), Jimmy Key, David wells, Henke (311 saves), duane ward (45 saves in 93 season)... (could u imagine a staff today with 3 lefties of the quality of Cone, Key and Wells?!?!!?!). Jeff Kent couldn't even get into the lineup so they traded him for Cone.

In 1993, they lost Cone and Winfield... so they replaced them with Dave Stewart, Rickey Henderson and Paul Molitor.

What a field of dreams... the Jays payroll was the highest in MLB around $54m or more...and it cost $1.20 or CDN to buy a US dollar... it was the greatest time of my sporting life and we'll never that kind of baseball in Toronto again (only NYC, Boston and Philly can afford it).

The 1992 and 1993 seasons were amazing! Probably nothing tops Carter's walkoff '93 to defend tho...

























....and this isn't sport, but entertainment... was there live for Rock vs Hogan, greatest atmosphere I've ever experienced for a live event of any kind.

^great post man. one of my most memorable sports moments was watching joe carter hit that series winning hr at my hotel at disney land when i was 9. great pitching staff like ya said...although i HAVE seen better staffs

for me there are a few in no particular order

2001 all star game. managed to get tickets. early in the game cal ripken comes up and hits what ends up being the game winning hr..and his last appearence in the all star game. same for tony gwynn

1991 national championship run with the uni of washington huskies as well as the "night game" vs nebraska where crowd noise hit like 135 decibals..still the loudest crowd for a sporting event i think. crowds for huskies and seahawks are probably some of the loudest on earth. when we played carolina in the 2006 nfc championship they practiced with recordings of jet engines to get used to loud noise during the game.

1996 seattle super sonics run to the nba finals. they made us proud even tough we lost. i think had we not faced michael jordan and the bulls we would have won easy...gp to kemp was amazing.

and last but not least...the 1995 seattle mariners run. 10 games back in august ..and we come back to win the division. jay buhners speach in the locer room about not going for a wild card spot but trying for the division title. 1 game playoff..johnson strikes out like 15 Angels. good times. and all leading up to the alds..one of the best 5 game series in baseball imo. all ending with "the double"

My football team reached the serie A, first football division in italy, I was twelve and I was there among that yellow jam! great moment, can remeber the tears on my face!

i got to say that Hogan vs Rock was a great moment in wrestling they couldnt of done any bigger then that match..maybe Stone cold vs Hogan..but again the rock was the better pick for hogan and no like stone cold wanted ever to fight Hogan < too bad!

my Fav moment in wrestling has to be Brock vs Kurt Ironman match < pure Wrestling for 1 hour!! was better then micheal vs brett or any other Ironmman match! the original TLC was amazing moment also! the Hell in the cell Taker vs Mick ...Showed the world that Mick was the craziest man alive< even better Terry Funk vs Mick barbwire Match in (not sure) NWA?! That be the second bloodiest match ever after killer kowalski vs abdullah the butcher Blood fest from the 70s-later 80s early 90s!!

Gotta be between the 2005 Welsh Grand Slam and United winning the Champions League in 1999. If forced to choose I'd have to say the grand slam because my childhood years were the dark days of Welsh rugby (most of the 90's: 3 wooden spoons on the trot etc) due to the significance of the result. Granted, we scraped the wins at England (with that beautiful last minute kick from Henson and Gethin Jenkins planting Matt Stevens head up his arse constantly in the scrums) and France (with Ponty boy Martyn Williams getting the record for most turnovers in a game - not sure if it still stands but I think it was about 20 odd= amazing). The 2008 and 2012 Grand Slams were technically better as we fuckin' schooled everyone in all 5 games of both - but its the 1st ones that are always sweetest......

When the fight was over and no one got too hurt ...that first bong hit ..priceless
