Went there once with my wife, checked out the menu and sure it was high priced. Anyways we took coffees and the budtender immediately asked that "huh, you aren't buying any weed?" I replied that "unfortunately we're going back home tonite (we weren't), but you've got a nice atmosphere here (moderate lie, the place was completely deserted apart from us, i like the exterior though), can we use the smoke room?" And this little ass kissing granted us permission to use their premises for smoking weed that I bought from somewhere else.
After reading these reviews, I highly doubt that I'll ever go back.

Lol, 100% dislike the place...kinda speak for itself. They should have an award fr that!!
Went there one night just to avoid the freezing december wind, I think It was the worst/most overpriced coffee I had in my whole life.I didn't even bother to look at the menu..and didn't mind the "budtender"'s mumblin'

...
I'll ad my comment too: F*ck the Grasshopper.

Now I love coffeeshops and can tolerate a lot, but the combination of poor service, ridiculous prices and appalling weed makes this place the worst establishment in the whole city. I would genuinely rather pluck my own as hair and smoke that than fork over even 1 euro to this bunch of amateurish discourteous rip off merchants.
I hope they are forced to close in shame and ignamy and tarred and feathered through the streets for every visitor who has been treated rudely and palmed off with expensive sub standard weed.
I've got to be honest, this place is not one of my favourites.

Nice to see I am not the only 1 that believes this is the biggest tourist trap in Amsterdam

I happen to love this shop, the place itself is a nice chilled and relaxed safe haven in the busy chaotic streets of Amsterdam RLD. the staff here are among the most attentive, politest and friendliest staff in Amsterdam! The quality of beverages sold are just exquisite, so in my opinion are worth the extra euro you will be charges compared to other bars.
Now if you have not been downstairs yet, that is where the real delights can be found, i have to say this place has had the same consistent selection of top end strains since i first started to come to Amsterdam about 10 years ago, it really is hard to find a shop which can keep a constant quality like the grasshopper does!
Can't wait till they close the shit hole

haha +1
But will this place ever close? Those big green lights must attract many first timers or unsuspecting people as soon as they leave Centraal Station. Shame it isn't in a more secluded spot otherwise it might have gone a long time ago.

This was the first cs i visited in amsterdam as my hotel was just across the road. It cost me 4.50e for a gatorade and around 20e for less than 2 grams of bubblegum.
