The bald guy I think his name is John was cool by me. We chatted politics with a friend of his at the counter before I ordered. In my case I short changed him and he was willing to let it slide but I covered my error. You know mistakes can happen when you are feeling alittle casual.

Somebody loved the plant those bud I purchased there. What an absolutely beautiful bud. It rained trichomes when I broke off a piece to smoke.

No complaints - I'll be back.

Hey sonic I'll be in Amsterdam next week and I do want to try the shop again because of all the great reviews...like yours. Any chance you remember the name of that great bud that rained trichomes??

Hey Buddy. It was the Grey Haze. I always look before I leap because some vintages are just better than others. If it looks candy coated with sparkly stuff then I'd go for it.

Have a good time - I know you will. ;)

I have already given my vote of approval from previous trips to this shop - and this last time was the icing on the cake.

Was served by Jon (as was the other 2 trips) and every time he seems to get friendlier. I know many people have criticised this place, but I am honeslty starting to disbeleive those allogations - all 3 times I have been, I could say was possibly the friendliest service from any other shops on those trips!

This time my friend and I were lucky enough to grab a table for close to an hour before a few too many people arrived, but it was cool as we had experienced a proper pit stop in the Grey Area instead of previous buy and flys, so it was nice to give our seat to someone else to have the same experience.

Possibly my second favourite shop and one not to miss! I also got a free coke after I bough 3g of there Grey Mist Crystals (always a number 1 of my list of smoke to buy!)

Definitely my favorite all around shop in Amsterdam. As far as Bud goes, it was neck and neck between GA, Barneys and the Dampkring as far as I'm concerned. The Cantalope Haze and Grey Myst were definitely some of my more favorite strains, and as far as "social smoke" goes, Yellowcab was great for being just high enough to enjoy yourself but not enough so as to prevent the conversation from flowing. The hash menu was less impressive and I prefer pressed hash to kif, but for weed its hard to do any better.

What really made the place for me though was the atmosphere and general feeling of the place. I know some people said it was cramped and dirty, but honestly John (the Chief at the counter. I did'nt actually get to meet Steve I think) makes it feel like smoking in a friend's basement. Dude's a really good guy and a chill person to hang with as I did on my last 2 days in Europe when I'd SEEN Amsterdam and just kinda needed to chill for bit. Music was ALWAYS dope, had some good conversation with practically anyone who came in and generally the whole place was cool.

Not for everybody but if ya like it, you'll like it the most.

I am totaly agree with you ! This shop remains for me one of best of the city. One has to pass not from time to the grey area last week. The staff is always frienly. And the weed is always as excellent for them to see even better as the last time than I am go there.

New strains in the area : the "grey canalope Haze" and the "stella blue" are so niceeeee. We had smoke here a lot of Greyberry & test their Grey Mist , 4077, Grasstasy, yellow cab... all are perfect ! :D

Big shout to grey area 8)

I voted "like" because their weed is the Bomb. I've always been consistently impressed by the greyberry, yellow cab, grey mist, all of it.

But I'll concede that the dealers are out of it, the space is too small, they have shit for beverages, and all the other criticisms.

So what's the tie-breaker? The Pucini across the street, silly.

Picked up a piece of Nepal last week of June. A real traditional sample of the Nepal culture was in hand. Soft with an almost squishy texture, a soft dark brown gloss exterior yielded a brownie like interior. A spicy smelling gear that fired up a rich creamy smoke. Groovy man - peace out, be happy, contented without stress or anxiety. This gear is like medicine and should be explored as an anti-stress, anxiety, depression treatment.

Top Shelf Nepal - Get it while you can.

the bartender was SOOOOOOOOOO helpful and nice, I had him roll me about 8 joints in the course of my trip, always a smile and always ready to help me and answer any questions, yes it's a small shop but the weed is fan-fucking-tastic

seriously their greyberry haze is the tastiest weed I've ever smoked, it's a pleasure to let it sit in your body

and I got some kief to sprinkle on my bowls becuase I still suck at joints, being an american and having my RooR's and my volcano I've gotten lazy so ti's time to practice those dutch joints, those little paper filters are ingenious!!!

anyways, this place get's my highest marks although it is small, seats always opened up for me quite soon, and prices were also som eof the best if not the best in the city

Grey area is one of my favs in the dam. Extremely nice people and pretty good prices. Always great weed. Try the stella blue or LA confidential. The owner is an american guy an is very down to earth. Must stop here. Only downside is that its a small shop and is packed a lot but if you do get a seat make sure you try out the JBD bongs hes got.

Grey Area

This seemed like such a cool coffeeshop. I really love the stickerwall, and the music was good. I felt that Grey Area had such a cozy atmosphere. The only bad part was that my cousin got paranoid because of the size of the shop, and we had to leave! :( --- Next time, I will definately go in and actually purchase some great weed. Anyway, that's my little story about my Grey Area experience.

Me and my mate called in here every morning after we had eaten
and we were lucky enough to get a table every time,
the guys working there were really cool and so friendly, an Australian bloke came in with a video camera and they got out all of their weed for him to video (Stella Blue, Grey Shark, 4077th Medicinal, Grey Mist Crystals, THE LOT! :o :D
my mate had his camera with him and got some sweet photos ,but I'd left mine in the hotel (SHIT!)
We sampled all of the grass on their menu by the end of our trip, Grey Shark probably was my favourite
Gotta be my number 1 coffeeshop in Amsterdam.

Place was busy, but had to stop in. Very nice people, bought a gram of Grey Mist, nice taste and high. Would have stayed longer if not to packed.
