Apparently products from another 'legal' grower called Leli Holland will start appearing in coffeeshops within the next few days.

I took a look on my last visit to Nijmegen but sadly I could not find any products from "Leli Holland" on a menu so far but I will keep an eye on that. More suppliers are always good

Last week:

Karels Haze (13€/g grown by Aardachtig from Coffeeshop Tkunsje Nijmegen) - I was very happy to see that strain on the menu My mate really likes that one but personaly I didn´t tried it till now. Also the fact that it´s made by Aardachtig which are connected with the original breeder made me even more curious.
It was sold in 1g glass jars and was labeled with 28% THC
Smelled very nice in the jar kind of kushy but also had some notes of citrus that reminds more of a sativa like it is. Very natural to the nose with a pretty nice covering of crystals. Buds were nicely dried. Smooth to smoke with pretty white ash. Taste was also more like a sativa but with kushy notes. Nice to smoke and one of the best tasting Hazes that I smoked since longer time. Most hazes taste pretty harsh and similar these days but that one was very smooth with a nice kushy aftertaste. I have to say that I smoked it mainly in the bong... in the joint mixed with tobacco it tasted still good but I prefered it in the bong much more... Effect was nice, too mainly on the sativa side but you can feel the indica part as well. Ok I expected it to be a bit stronger with 28% THC but effects were still nice and made me well medicated.

Overall pretty good job done by Aardachtig and I was pretty happy with it. With 13€/g also ok priced while at Toermalijn in Tilburg its been sold 2€ cheaper a gram but Toermalijn has by far the best prices for "legal weed" in the whole netherlands. Everything is nearly 2€/g cheaper then elsewhere. Big up to Toermalijn for that

Anyone know if the growers had restrictions on how they grow and nutrients used?
I have read everything I could find online but cannot see anything about rules on growing apart from the 6.5 kilo min output.

From my understanding, all the growers had to lay out their methods in their entirety before being chosen... I know that regulations can be imposed directly, and there's no way of checking if that's the case, at least to my knowledge. As far as I can tell, however, the growers would have to stick to their original proposals.

Was hoping to get out to some last trip, try find out a bit more, kids wanted to stay do stuff in the Dam. But looks like Amsterdam oost could be heading towards legal weed later in the year so wont have to travel far.

I'm intrigued by this especially quality wise so interested to see how it plays out.

As of 7th April, shops in some towns can only sell "legal" weed.

Visited 8 shops in Tilburg last week on the first day of the 'legal weed only' era. Since I come from the Belgian coast I have to make the trip worthwhile

So far I've tried the Ice Cream Cake from Aardachtig (Maximilian 5g 44euro), Lemon Mochi from Hollandse Hoogtes (Pasja 5g 55euro), Tangerine from Leli Holland (Grass Company 5g 52 euro) and Galactic Haze from Leli Holland (Grass Company 5g 52euro).

And I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. The flavours are there, soft on the lungs, nice grey ash and great effect.
My favourite so far is Galactic Haze, normally I'm not a Haze fan but this one really knocks it out of the park...

Still have to try Fruit Punch, Gouda Berry, Wedding Cake, Humo Dulce and Karels Haze

I also had FYTA strains before but this was rather disappointing. The ash was black and it was a lot harsher smoke. Not recommended especially if you know some of the back story of this company and the shady stuff surrounding it.

Indeed in all cities that take part in the Wietexperiment is only "legal" weed available now. While they made a step back in terms of hash. The coffeeshops are still allowed to sell their hash from their usual sources till september because there is still not enough dutch hash available...

I had a small talk with a budtender from Coffeeshop Kruidentuin in Nijmegen about the hash topic and they are really not happy that in the future there will be no moroccan hash on the menus anymore well Coffeeshop Kruidentuin is a moroccan owned coffeeshop and they are usually more focused on moroccan hash than weed it will be a big change for them.

On my last visits I could try some more legal varities:

Karels Haze (12€/g grown by Aardachtig from Coffeeshop T`Kunsje in Nijmegen) - I really liked that one taste is excellent in the bong and fits perfect to my taste. Well grown and dried. Good sativa effect while not the strongest.

Galactic Haze (12€/g grown by Leli Holland from Coffeeshop Zero Zero Arnhem) - Smelled very hazy and fresh. Well looking buds full of trichomes and well dried. Pretty strong sativa effect which last long. Really good one and better than most other Hazes that I found over the last months in Coffeeshops that don´t sell legal weed.

Amazing Haze (11€/g grown by Hollandse Hoogtes from Coffeeshop T´Kunsje Nijmegen) - ell grown and dried with a fresh hazy smell. Good effect while I liked the Galactic Haze and Karels Haze a bit more but still good stuff.

Georgia Pie (13€/g grown by Hollandse Hoogtes from Coffeeshop Kruidentuin Nijmegen) - Nice well grown buds with a complex smell kind of sweet fruity. Also tasty but maybe not 100% my cup of tea still good quality.

Overall all weed that I tried were grown/dried pretty well. Good job

While the range of weed is quite large, the range of hashish is still lacking... well there is more hash on offer than before but especially cheaper hashes are not available or of poor quality. Canadelaar is the only company in the wietexperiment so far that offer cheaper hashes but I was pretty dissapointed with what I got from them so far.
On the other hand there are around 8 different Ice O Lator hashes and a bit Rosin from Hollandse Hoogtes available.
Aardachtig has also a few hashes on offer mostly Ice O Lator but also dry sift.
Q-Farms is one of the newest company in the experiment and they work together with La Kalada which sounds pretty interesting. They offer Ice O Lator, Rosin and Dry Sift.
Fyta has also a few dry sift hashes on offer but I heard that the quality is also pretty poor while not as bad as from Canadelaar. But prices are cheaper around 9-12€/g. I didn´t tried hashes from them so far.

Prices for the Ice O Lator hashes are from 35€/g - 60€/g. The dry sift hashes from Aardachtig goes from 12,50€/g - 16€/g and the drysift hashes from Q-Farms (La Kalada) are sold for 17,50€/g.
While all these prices are from Coffeeshop Toermalijn in Tilburg which have the cheapest prices for legal wiet/hash that I found in the whole netherlands so far. In most other coffeeshops it will be more expensive (2€-10€ more for each gram )

I tried so far:

Space Fruit filtered hash (15€/g made by Aardachtig from Coffeeshop T´Kunsje Nijmegen) - Strong lekker fruity hazy kind of smell comes out of the jar. Very bright colored and crumbly. When you just press it a little bit it falls into dust. Very easy to put into a joint. It was "only" tested with 32% THC and so I was afraid that it might be too weak. And indeed it didn´t bubble when touched by the flame Damn so nice tasting but no bubble
Anyways I tried it in the Bong and I was positively surprised. Very fresh tasty stuff with still a good enough sativa effect. I used that as my first smoke of the day and it did the job pretty well.
Overall sadly more of a lower quality filtered hash (because no bubbling) while in terms of smell/taste it was damn nice and for me as the first smoke of the day strong enough.

Fuego Loco filtered dry sift hash (17€/g made by Aardachtig from Coffeeshop Kronkel Nijmegen) - Also here damn strong smelling stuff. Even the bag in which the glass container is packed smells so strongly of the hash Smell is kind of fruity and remembered me a little bit of Fanta. Not so super crumbly as the Space Fruit hash but still crumbly. The hash was obviously more processed (pressed) than the other one.
It was tested around 50% THC and bubbles nicely when touched by the flame. Taste is strong and pretty similar to the smell. Good effect with that intense smell/taste very nice product. I tried 3 different batches so far and quality was there everytime.

Lemon Shocker x Papaya dry sift hash (20€/g made from Q-Farms/La Kalada from Coffeeshop Kronkel in Nijmegen) - Like the Fuego Loco from Aardachtig this one has a very lekker intense smell/taste. Bubbles superb when touched by the flame and a bit better than the Fuego Loco hash. Really gently produced piece of hash. Nice effect more on the stony side. Overall very nice produced dry sift and a little bit better than the Fuego Loco while also a few € more expensive. Real high quality while there is still room for improvement.

NYC Diesel hash (12€/g made by Canadelaar from Coffeeshop Dreadlock) - Dark creamy piece of hash. Needs a bit of hand warmth to get soft. Bubbles when touched by the flame. Effect is good while it taste not so nice to me. Well it´s smokeable but harsh in the bong and not really pleasant to smoke. Overall in terms of effect ok but I didn´t liked it to smoke in the bong.

I really miss the moroccan hashes there is no hash in the Wietexperiment that reminds of some good moroccan import

Well Q-Farms/La Kalada make a awesome job so far. Well I only tried dry sift from them till now but all were really top quality I tried the Z-Head Drysift (20€/g Coffeeshop Lucky Luke Arnhem), Orange Diesel V3 Drysift (new batch 20€/g from Coffeeshop Kronkel Arnhem) and as I wrote before the Lemon Shocker X Papaya Drysift.
All look fire like static beautiful bright colour of trichomes and awesome bubble when touched by the flame.
The Lemon X Papaya Drysift had the most interessting effect, the Z-Head Drysift smelled so damn gassy crazy and the Orange Diesel was overall very nice.
So some other hash producers could still learn something from this. Or the source material must have been so good that it turned out so incredibly well.
I also heard very good things about their Ice O Lator hashes and Rosin and prices are pretty ok. So really hands down well done.

But sadly the cheaper hashes that are available at the moment don´t make me happy All hashes from Canadelaar were pretty low quality and also from Fyta I didn´t heard good things in terms of hash. Well I tried some Skywalker Static hash (17,50€ Coffeeshop Kruidentuin Nijmegen) from Canadelaar which was the best that I tried from them so far. Effect was good while it had a bit of a strange taste to it in the back very spicy and uncommon.

If you want some good hash that bubbles and that make you really high you have to pay at least 17,50€/g while in most coffeeshops 20€+/g. I had high hopes for Q-Farms/La Kaladas Tutty Frutty Dry Sift (12,50€/g Coffeeshop T´Kunsje) which was advertised with 40%+ THC on the menu. But sadly it wasn´t so good. No bubble when touched by the flame and the jar was labeled with 23% THC which was the half of what was written on the menu. Well THC content isn´t all that hash was indeed pretty weak.

It seems not to be easy to produce quality cheaper hashes in the Netherlands and I don´t think that this will change pretty fast. Best "cheapest" hash that I found and that I really liked was the Fuego Loco hash from Aardachtig (16€/g Coffeeshop Zero Zero Arnhem) while at some coffeeshops it goes for 18€/g.

I also tried a pre rolled hash joint from Hollandse Hoogtes which I pretty liked. It was made with 0,3g White Choco Ice hash for 5 or 6€/joint (Coffeeshop Zero Zero Arnhem). It was labeled with more than 50% THC and indeed it was strong and to my surpirse it remembered me from taste of some moroccan hash. I only saw that hash sold in pre rolled joints so far it would be great to see that hash on a menu and for a good price would be awesome.

Over the last trips I also tried a bit of weed from the wietexperiment. Mainly Sativas like the Amazing Haze and Strawberry Haze from Hollandse Hoogtes which were pretty good quality but not my cup of tea somehow. But grown pretty well with nice smell and good dried buds.

It is definitely still worth comparing the prices in the different coffeeshops. The differences can be enormous For example Toermalijn Coffeeshop in Tilburg sell Skywalker Kush weed for 6€/g from Canadelaar and most other coffeeshops for 8€/g which is already a drastic price increase but the drastic one is Coffeeshop Twins in Heerlen who sell the same weed for 14€/g This is a real rip-off. More than twice as expensive, and we're talking about outdoor weed
Coffeeshop Dreadlock in Nijmegen really surprised me the last times. Some products are much cheaper here from time to time... for example I tried the Fruity Temple Balls Ice O Lator hash (Aardachtig) from them for 25€/g while most other coffeeshops sell it for 35€/g I really liked that hash while it´s not top quality ice o lator but in terms of smell/taste/effect it fits to my liking. Well 35€/g would be to much in my opinion but with 25€/g I felt much better trying it

Really interesting thread and it might explain my experience with the government weed recently in Almere.

Bought some Wedding Cake and it was clean weed but totally lacking the smell, crystally buds and the hard hit that I would usually associate with Wedding Cake (which I've smoked over the last few years). Perhaps is was glasshouse weed, could explain a lot.

Also interesting to see La Kaladas expansion to NL, I didn't get a chance to visit Catch 33 when in Amsterdam recently, but hope to be back next year at some point and will check it out.

We always had "Big Pharma" making moves to consolidate markets and now its the turn of "Big Cannabis" it seems.
