Hey @Trad I have put a ticket by for @Gapie and don't mind going half with you if he does want to be an ACD Pirate with us if not we can hopefully get someone during the week to commit

I've just had a look at the calendar: 20.04.25 is Easter Sunday

1. On Sundays Amsterdam is usually fuller than on other days with tourists
2. On 420 day there are also a lot of extra tourists in Amsterdam
3. Easter is usually incredibly busy in Amsterdam because many people take a short vacation
4. This year Easter is not at the end of March as usual, but at the end of April, which not only makes good weather likely, but is also high season for tulips, for which many tourists come

Hotel prices are correspondingly insane, even a normal MotelOne drives crazy

In short: if it doesn't happen to snow that weekend, the city will be overflowing with tourists and I hate crowds

So I probably won't be in Amsterdam on Easter Sunday, but I'll pop in for a day trip on Thursday or Friday if the coffeeshops aren't overcrowded yet - I have to get some “honey” from the Bushdoctor / GreeenPlace / GreyArea and of course I'd like to meet some of the nice people from the forum.

I was pleasantly surprised how less crowded Amsterdam was last year at 420. It was my first 420 so maybe was an outlier? Others who've been to more can hopefully chime in. I'm about Saturday - Monday if you do make it.

I think generally 4/20 is a relatively quiet time in Amsterdam. It's always a week before Queen/King's Day, so most of the Dutch are saving themselves for that. Tourists looking for tulips are in places like Leiden. Even amongst stoners, 4/20 is more of an American thing than European.

On the other hand, having 4/20 day itself at a weekend does make 420 Café quite busy. Being a holiday weekend might make parts of the city busier and put hotel prices up but various tourist-unfriendly measures might cancel that out.

Last time 4/20 coincided with Easter was 2014. I don't recall it being particularly busy then.

I love walking through the coffee shops in the morning when most people are still asleep. You have all the time in the world to take look at jars, smell them and try them without a queue waiting behind you. I like the time between 9am and 12pm for cannabis shopping, because that's when you usually get very detailed advice and have time for a nice conversation.

That would also be the plan this year, shopping in the morning, a great meal at noon and a bit of dabbing for "dessert" after lunch. My idea was to bring two mobile dab rigs (Stündenglass + Cannabis Hardware) to 420 Day to try out some LiveRosin on site. Gladly together with you (which of course also includes the rest of the ACD team), because shared joy is double the joy. We could then cross-taste a handful of concentrates from the morning if you feel like it, so anyone who has always wanted to try LiveRosin would then have the opportunity to do so.We can also do the Rosin shopping tour & lunch together if you feel like it.

According to the schedule, Friday afternoon is already planned with Zandvoort / Zaandam and on Saturday afternoon you will be in Utrecht. So that would only leave Thursday afternoon if we want to do a dabbing session together, if I see it right.

Nice 1 @Kushola I have also allocated a free ticket to our host from The Stud session @MjHowy who will be joining us on our voyage So as we have @Trad @Azlaker @Kushola @Ghost offering to chip in for a extra ticket could we split the 2 tickets between us and all throw in 12.50e extra each if that is not to much for everyone and that would cover both free tickets

The last few 420 I have been to have not been that busy at all really, obviously certain shops up around the top end of town are always busy no matter what and the 420 Cafe before and during 420 is busy, last year I think we were lucky to get in there and if I remember right @Trad was holed up there early and it was extremely busy and it being the weekend and Easter I expect it to be a bit busier. Maybe this year we need to get there earlier than we have before and try and grab that big table at the rear if possible.

Hotel prices now are through the roof another forum member who I know 'DanfromUK' was on about coming in to town for the meet but the hotel prices and even the flights now have put him off coming. It's crazy how prices can vary from month to month depending on season etc but with massive increases

On a sour note my Venty packed up last night and the dreaded E04 error code appeared on the screen, I have tried resetting the device but no joy I am afraid. I have set a RMA up with Storz and Bickle, hopefully they will replace it for me yet again. This device lasted me just under a year with just over 612hours of use, this will be the 4th Venty now that has had an error code If I was to buy a device again I would buy the Mighty+ and not the Venty.

Why not ask S&B for a Mighty as the replacement? I am happy to contribute as required for extra boat tickets etc.
