It almost is. It would be at ref Z5 if there was a Z before the A.
Continue down Rozengracht off the map on the far left, cross the bridge over the first canal you come to and its just there on your left.
First time I'd made it to 1e Hulp on our last trip, we were staying nearby and spent a good morning in there enjoying some good smokes and the aircon in the upstairs smoking area. The Tangerine Dream I got here was very nice, and it seemed a good and reasonable value menu overall. Also gained plus points for comfy seating and a chilled out cat, although I didn't make much of the coffee or the music auto-playing on the jukebox. Definitely worth a visit overall.

So you could spend 50 euros on weed and still need to buy a drink if you want to stay?

Thats a shame especially with them having a good reputation for their weed. Will be visiting this place in 5 weeks hopefully the customer service is better than you received. Things like that put people off from ever going back.

Im not so sure they are ok with you smoking stuff from somewhere else their, as i went in their to smoke my last bong hit before heading to the airport and after buying a drink when i went to sit down he asked me wether the weed was what i bought there earlier. I lied and said yeah but it kinda ruined my last smoke. Still my facourite coffeeshop but bit of a shitty policy.

Yeah, these shitty policies suck.
I can't believe how a shop with such a shitty policy can stay in business.
Speaking of shitty policies, I'm still looking for a local pub that will understand when I bring my own drink, and sometimes munchies as well.
Every pub I've been to has the same shitty policy, no outside food or drink allowed.
WTF is up with that? I've spent plenty of money at these places yet they won't allow me an occasional harmless indiscretion.
I'm better off drinking at home anyway, I can have it my way 24/365, not having to deal with shitty policies.
Done taking the piss.
Next...
Happy trails...

The problem is the fact that they try force people to buy something they dont want. You can sit in a pub and not buy anything and they wont say a word about it, they dont force you to buy a drink or some food to be able to stay there. Some coffeeshops you have hardly stepped in the door and they are rushing you to buy something lol. The problem with this policy is you can spend any amount of euros on weed or hash and still they want you to buy a drink. Wrong on all levels.

I can only think of two occasions on which I've gone into a shop, bought weed and smoked without buying a drink. The first was in WW in Haarlem – I was going to buy a drink, but the woman behind the counter didn't seem particularly interested, and I was there primarily for the smoke, so I didn't press it. The second time was at 't Ballonetje when they didn't have what I wanted and I bought a g and got a free prerolled while waiting for the delivery. Again, I was going to get an orange juice, having had coffee in two previous shops, but there weren't any fresh oranges out, so I left it.
Obviously coffeeshops are businesses and not day centres. And it's taking the piss to sit with one drink for several hours smoking what you've bought elsewhere. But if you've just bought €50 of their stock, saying you have to pay another couple of euros for a drink you may not want in order to be allowed to smoke it there seems a bit petty – although, as I said, I probably would buy a drink most of the time.
Still, every shop's entitled to have its own rules, and people are free to choose where to patronise. Some shops want repeat custom and loyalty, others just care about getting the most out of passing tourist trade. To each their own.

that was the problem with us as we spent a lot of euro in smokes but not everyone was going to buy a drink, but they sad everyone had to buy a drink. I always buy drinks when smoke not because I feel forced to do but because I smoke a lot in the dam anmd I'm always thirsty. but I think trying to force everyone of a group of five people that spent 70euro to buy 5 drinks is not a good attitude. but hey, I have the power, if I don't like I can avoid them

. on the other hand cannot complain about their smokes, all excellent!

Bummer... I love Eerste, but forcing people to buy a drink when they already spend numerous euros on other wares is a GARBAGE policy.
Like Colino said I always loved their smoke, atmosphere, and customer service on previous trips though.
