i can get all the quality smoke i want as i am sure all of us can, however, i love the freedom of smoking weed in public in an historic city like amsterdam. i, clearly, do not go to amsterdam because i need to score weed. Most weed in the states is just as good as the dam if you have halfway decent connections .the beauty is in the nice variety to choose from and smoking in public with like minded people from around the globe. Had a great time at Nes smoking with 5 random partiers an aussie , 3 yanks and a dutchman. good times

Absolutely, and if it happens all that will be a great loss. Last August me and my family including our grandchildren holidayed in Zeeland in the south as we sometimes do, maybe next time the coffeeshops will be closed to us, we will see. :D

He's a guy who says that he isn't Dutch and works for an airline; yet he claims to be an expert in Dutch politics and has made a series of completely unfounded statements which amount to some of the worst rumor-mongering and actually plain lying I've ever seen. On top of this he's been sarcastic and plain nasty along the way when people have disagreed with him about anything. Who knows who the hell he / she / it really is.

I think Joosy should either agree to stop posting on this thread or else be banned from this forum - all he's doing is pissing people off, leading to a bad atmosphere.

Does he work for an airline too or are you getting confused with me? I'm not Dutch unfortunately but do work for a UK airline.

As for banning Joossy I'm not in disagreement with it, but perhaps a Moderator can ask him to tone it down. He's very disruptive and annoying a lot of us and preventing us from having a good debate with each other. On other forums such a poster would be suspended or at the least spoken to by the Mod.

I've said all along I hoped joossy was proved to be right, but instead I got told I was from another planet.

 Never said any of that.

worst rumor-mongering
 being positive arguing the facts why coffeeshops are not closing in Amsterdam, on the amsterdam coffeeshop directory.

pissing people off, leading to a bad atmosphere
 Getting abuse from forum users for been positive instead of just promoting gloom that amsterdam for smokers is finished

He's very disruptive and annoying a lot of us
 by telling everyone who loves to smoke in dam, not to worry

preventing us from having a good debate
 I didn't ask any mods to ban anyone that i disagreed with.

On other forums such a poster would be suspended or at the least spoken to by the Mod.
 Being far to positive about somewhere we all love to go.

I got told I was from another planet.
 & I got told to fuck off.

Im happy because im 100% dam as we all know it will be there in years to come and will be even better than it is now. Look how good easytimes just got, http://www.easytimes-amsterdam.com/ I cant see the owners would have just spent all that money in the last 6 months doing it up if they thought they would be closing 12 months later.

Does anyone know if there is any official opposition to these proposed measures ? Ie are there any lawyers , local politicians campaigning the cause ?

As Nol has pointed out in his video there are many reasons why the wietpass won't work so what's being done about it at an official level ? Or can nothing be done , if they decide to go nationwide is that it or can it be opposed on a legal level ?

I guess because most province or city has its own municipality which can over rule the nationwide law regarding the weedpass if it has reasons to, a national campaign wont really happen, there will just be smaller local ones for each province/city dependant on what each of their municipality decide to do.
