for first timers this shop is well worth searching out, for the rest of us, well you know...
Weel worth searching out but may require a fair amount of searching! I suggest staying sober for the first time you go here!! :)
they used to have excellent directions on their website
Cool what's their site called, it would be worth a look? Whilst looking for GA I found that every street looked the same as the previous, so it took me at least an hour to get there from Meeting Poing hostel

True, but there are other good things about it.

-Volcano Vape
- Bongs to use
- Knowledgable and friendly budtenders
- Challenging to find the place

Stopped by yesterday and smoked some of their grey haze there. Dealer was very friendly and the weed was top notch. I asked about 3 different hazes since they had sold out of the obama haze, and he encouraged me to smell each one to pick out the strongest. Grey Haze was the choice. Spongy and packed with crystals, I had a good time at the chocolate shop across the street.

Noticed Google Maps has a pic of the Grey Area highlighted on the Amsterdam map.

Enter the address (Oude Leliestraat 2) into the address bar at the top left of the Google Maps page, then click the magnifying glass to fly you to shop's location. Be certain the Geographic Web option is checked in the layers menu in the left sidebar. Once checked, this layer option shows small blue boxes on buildings and locations around the city that have pics on Google Maps. Just click the blue box over the Grey Area building.

May make it a bit easier to locate, although that may eliminate a bit of the fun/challenge associated with this shop.

We all know about Grey Area, one of the best known coffeeshops in amsterdam. The chocoloupe was very good. As many of the other members have said it's probably best to grab and go as it's very popular and seating is limited. The american guys that work there are both sound and very helpful.

What can I say about the Area?

The Shop: SMALL, like you won't believe it small. I think there were 4 small round tables and a long table on the side with 4 stools. Vaporizer and Bongs for use are free. Finding the shop is quite a Problem if you haven't any directions. I used googlemaps on my mobile device and had no problems. Afterwards i showed 2 locals where the shop is.

The Staff: Gotta love the bald Canadian guy. Well i almost felt in love with him. Nice, funny, friendly guy serving you the best weed in the galaxy. What you want more????

The Weed: Unbelievable. How do they grow this? I tried almost the whole menu and each strain was better then the other. Some of my favs are: Chocolope, Big Buddah Cheese, Grey Haze, Cannalope Haze, Chiesel, LA Confidential and of course the Grey Crystals.

I spent over 250euros on my trip in this little shop, and it was absolutely worth it.

Greets, Mahdi

edit: menu.
