LA Con didn't look too hot, I only got half a gram. It's very dry and has almost no smell. Papa, who was in a good mood, started rambling "did you see that movie? great one! Kim basinger, Russell Crowe, Kevin Spacey! Excellent film man" i mumbled an attempted pun about Kevin Spacey's last name, it didnt register

Also grabbed a few 5-bags of haze, none of them are very impressive. Amnesia looks weird, fluffy and off color, a bright green. I got Lemon Herrer and Jungle too but all three basically smell the same, have a sort of acidic smell and they are unevenly dried, half-damp.

To be honest the best looking haze is the one I bought on the way back at De Prijs, their Silver Haze. BEtter trim, not so fresh/wet, and much hazier budstructure.

Ho-hum.

picked up today with a friend who was visiting, his first time in the shop and he was really impressed.

Got a nice little BJ's tin for free, should have seen the que behind us after chatting with the BT, many dirty looks when walking back past them all

careful, BUDROT IN THE AMNESIA HAZE today

I was ready to pay when the BT took another look at my bag of Amnesia Haze and, while inspecting it, said "this bud doesn't look good, looks rotten". Nice service

The tub was filled with HUGE dense nugs, similar to the rotten SSH I bought here last month.

It was the first recommendation when I asked for a nice haze...

anything new down that way? what did you buy anything nice?

Saw no changes in the menu, except for the LA Con which is now 10 instead of 9,50 p/g.

At Boerejongens I bought some SSH on recommendation, looks nice but is much too sticky. I couldn't even break the nugs apart, it just bends, I don't think i've ever seen it this wet before. I like the complex smell of cured haze, unsurprisingly I don't find that here.

Also, bought a small bag of Amnesia at BJ before I went to Bij (BT's suggestion again) and now I'm worried that it's from the same rotten batch, so I won't be consuming that

^^nightmare! Mold only ever attacks the best fattest nuggs.
The reason for the mold is too much moisture in the bud when they bagged it up.
usually caused by rushing to market.

I would guess that 90% of the weed in the shops (right now) to be unflushed, overfed
hydro bud.(looks great, smokes like shizz, wont burn etc.)

Humidity in the grow environment and big dense buds = mold heaven.
Can be a big problem with the extra humidity from hydro setups

Moldy weed twice within a month, unacceptable
I forgot to mention that the BT tried to gave me another bag of the same Amnesia after he had discovered the rotten bit! I had to explicitly tell him that I'd rather not have anything out of THAT tub I sure hope that they took the tub off the shelf.

The size and shape of the nugs should have rung some bells though. Golfball compact and round, like Bubblegum, with the bigger buds being 20+ grams each, I'd guess. The stuff was amazingly resinous.

Just wanted to quickly grab some haze, wasn't in the mood for inspecting, mistake.

had a couple of cup strain joints that wouldn't burn. wish I remember what they were. Never mind. It was my first cup! Was only noting the good and letting the rest fade into the mix.

Popped in here during the cup for the super silver strawberry cup entry. Also got some blueberry cheese.
The cup entry was nothing special at all and the blueberry cheese was decent. A fave strain of mine so as long as it ticks certain boxes I'm always happy.

Slightly less comfy rolling area than bojangles. It works though. I'd go back for sure. Does anyone have a pref for bij or bojangles? They seemed to have pretty much the same things in stock.

So the cup entry you bought at 14 per gram was "nothing special at all" and you have just read about their moldy and rushed bud, and you'd still go back?

if i am not mistaken the cup entry was not even an official cup entry?


The SSH from here has been damp for a while now so just stopped looking at it. I am pretty bored of Haze at the moment, looking for more hybrids leaning toward indica, they seem to hold much more flavor for me than the typical dutch haze

Off to pay a 50!! euro fine i got for cycling on the pavement one day......

Yes, I considered the SSS to be somewhere in the middle of the pack of cup strains I sampled. Not bad but not a contender for the cup IMHO.

I like Blueberry Cheese and I really liked the White Choco from mr bojangles. I'm thinking they stock the same things right? The prices are hard to beat. I plan on taking some of the above to Kashmir lounge next time. Maybe even have a TnT during 4/20 week along those lines.

Something like meet Voyagers. Take tram to bojangles then walk to Bij then walk onto Kashmir to test purchases.

ps - EB, I believe you are mistaken as both shops were in the judges handbook and both shops had cup strains prominently displayed on their counters during cup week.

excellent White Choco at the moment.

Got some G13xGrapeApe to try, fluffy leafy stuff, mild taste, medium strength buzz, no idea why this is 11 per gram.

was looking for Love Potion but it is sold out

Passed by here for old times sake today and the tender sold me some OG Kush. 10p/g.

Told me he missed out on a good football match when he decided to spark up a joint of this!

Punishing indeed and always surprises me how sort of 'good/dirty' these kush strains are.
