very good
This coffee is a barney that's for sure.
I had the following ones :
G13 : very very good and strong as usual but still i didnt have the same effect as the last time 8.9/10
Crimea Blue : strong indica, strong... yummy 8.6/10
also had a joint of sweet tooth : as usual sweet, nice strong high 8/10
We have different opinions about barney's menu, i still think it is a bit expensive but it is worth.
But in this shop, I have to say a lot about the budtender.
Friendly, caring, knowledgeable and all what makes a good one i guess.
But this guy amazed me.
We were chilling after a first smoke. A couple went out and suddenly, the budmate walk out with a mobilephone looking after them as they obviously forgot it.
I never saw someone leaving the entire counter with no one behind (even for 2 min) So i give a big mention to this guy and his caring.
A good place to stay[/quote]

A lot of people getting this one confused with other Barneys outlets. This one doesnt do a food menu, unless something has drastically changed in the last few months since I went in there. The place is small-ish, dark, hip and modern.
I used to absolutely die for this place a couple of years back when it first opened up and was quiet. Had my best NYE ever in here, smoked many many joints and had a wonderful night. Budtenders are always friendly and never pushy, the irish guy is a gent.
Milkshakes are superb, and the Laughing Buddah weed is out of this world.
Tad expensive if you ask me and lately its got busy and less inviting that it used to be. Still a classic haunt for me, but I dont go there as much as I did back in the day, just because I prefer other places and stay up near the Joordan now.
One thing that annoys me about this c/s is that when its busy its get bloody smoky. So smoky it can send you under, especially if you are sat near the back.

I would have to concur. Pancakes are just damn good especially after you wake up do a bong rip, take a shower , then take another bong rip, and then sit down to a plate full of pancakes smeared with whipped butter and dripping with blueberry syrup. Yum! One helluva way to start a day!
Sounds like a recipe for a great nap!
Has anyone been here and Barney's Farm. I feel like my trip I make this summer will be short, and I want to try one of the Barney's places. Just not sure which one. Been eyeing The Farm, but this place looks great. Do they both have bongs to use? Are they nice glass pieces?

They have bongs in BL but from memory they are acrylic, although maybe someone who has used one very recently will be able to say for sure.
I dont think the Farm sells weed anymore, it only did for a short while I think. Could be wrong.
Barneys Lounge is an ace place, especially if you catch it on a quiet day as there are only 4 tables. One table to sit at outside and a couple of small, narrow skinning up benches inside.
When you going? I could let you know next week what the bong situation is if no one knows.

Sometime in either late June, July, or most likely August.

just dropping by to report that the red diesel, that i bought last tuesday, is sprayed, presumably with a substance called "brix".
its a mixture of lots of nasty stuff like plastic, hormones etc.
it causes permanent lung damage very quickly -> very dangerous!
it caused the red diesel spliffs to burn very badly, causing very harsh, plasticy smoke and ashes that won't fall off the joint.
i went to barneys yesterday (they of course didn't reply to my email), to report this issue, but the budtender couldnt care less. he said he never heard of this problem (there are more reports on various forums, that also state, that something is wrong with the red diesel).
i told him to at least inform the manager about it, but he didnt seem very cooperative.
so barneys basically sold me toxic (!) unsmokable weed. 20€ just thrown away.
thanks barneys.
won't visit this place again.

hey bonglord. i dont understand your very weird reaction to this issue.
yes, i do have the rest lying around here. i tried making pictures with my cellphone camera, but it doesnt focus and all the pics are useless.
just google "barneys amsterdam red diesel" and filter by this months results and you should find something there.
i actually had the decency to report it to the budtender (i brought the rest of the weed along of course) and wait for his reaction, before i made this public on a forum.
i am posting this, because smoking this stuff is very dangerous (permanent lung damage) and imo the budtender handled the situation very disappointing.
shit like this shouldnt be sold in amsterdam. and the only thing i can do against this, is to warn people of crappy weed.
but why am i even explaining myself to a raging guy like you?

oh, and there were some parts of the bud, that werent covered in brix (or in a lower concentration), which resulted in part of the joint tasting fine.
i built the second spliff from a single bud (which was apparently completely brixed) and the whole joint was unsmokable from right at the beginning.
the ashes had the (typical for brix contamination) weird consistency, but it wasn't as oily, as other brixed buds i came across before.
so i believe that the buds have been sprayed with comparably low amounts of brix, but they still are definitely sprayed!
edit: and the gram of red diesel, that i bought at barneys 2-3 weeks before was ok (just a little harsh on the throat, but smokable and tasty).
