Speaking of movie stars, I'm sure I sat next Jeff Bridges at the bar one evening in the Grasshopper earlier this year. Did'nt want to do the "You look like Jeff Bridges" thing tho just in case he was'nt.

the movie star was Easi Morales. He played the older brother in the richie valens La Bamba movie. This is a pic of him.

liked the place and the nevilles haze i got from here. Kind of has a cheers bar feel to it, but its a crying shame they got rid of the pool table.

i always make a point of stopping here and must get round to visiting the shop opposite for some of the amazing looking munchies. Always cracks me up to see all the stoners in there hunched over some tasty looking food

First stop after my arrival. Got some lovely sativa there, can't remember the name now, but it was one of the best trips I've had in years. Sat pissing myself laughing for 2 hours. I'm sure they must have wondered who the crazy lady was, sat on her own giggling, and I hope that no-one thought I was laughing at them, but after a drought on half-decent gear in south of England for the past two months, this was the one place I was happy to be.

Music was good, although a bit random ... would be tripping off on the vibes when something 'poppy' would come on and spoil it. Robert Cray's 'Slipped her Mind' came on and I was almost rolling on the floor with laughter at the irony. Crazy lady or not, the high it gave me lasted well into the next day and you can't say more than that. I still have a smile on my face now, remembering it.

Barmaid was sweet and I think appreciated my attempt to use my rusty Dutch.

All in all a great place to hang out

Not far at all from where we were staying but somehow only stopped in twice. Limited menu. Got the blueberry and the super silver haze and another 2 grams of blueberry the second stop - the 2nd batch of blueberry was completely different to the first - just a fresh batch i guess because the first time it was cured and fruity and the second time it was damp and spicy. but my mate said the first batch was one of his favorites. the super silver was very spicy - i wasnt that much of a fan. nice relaxed shop.

Visited twice, weekday afternoons mid Jan. Didn't buy anything to smoke there as we were well stocked from previous CS. My new favourite place, bloody loved it, great music, great ambience, friendly staff, just wonderfully ideal.

I was so looking forward to the ambiance of a coffee shop with my favorite music as a backdrop. I arrived Jan 27th to find the place closed, covered by construction netting and the window cleared of any trace of the former establishment.

No, they mean De Kuil. I was there 3 weeks ago and there was scaffolding etc outside, obviously in preparation for some kind of building work.

Well I popped into De Kuil last night and it was very much open then...the scaffolding is still up obscuring the whole of the front which may not be all that good for trade......

I read on another forum that come April this year, when they have to choose between serving booze or weed (as do all CS's which do both) they will be serving weed only. Not being a drinker but certainly being a smoker this is good to hear as I love it in there.

Im happy to hear they will be sticking to weed. Loved the NYCD they had there very fruity and an enjoyable high.
I wonder how coffeeshops like this are going to look like after they change their whole style, will they still have that pub look? or will they completely change?

I really hope they don't change the way it looks in there, I love everything about it - the bar, the huge display case thing behind it, the lighting, everything. It has such a nice ambiance that changing all that would kind of ruin the vibe (man) and it's just become another coffeeshop, which would be tragic. God, hark at me!!

great place to chill out and listen to some mellow rock music at a low level. Or chat and play cards.

friendly and helpful staff. Reasonably priced drinks (soft and beer), very good dope menu.

Free use of the volcano was greatly appreciated.
