I don't know...it all depends on what makes a shop "The Best" in your opinion.

I'd have to agree that it's not the overall best in town. Personally, I found it to be the best shop regarding service, though. I know I know...it's only because we're Americans, but still, that really meant a lot to us when we were there. Getting glared at and spoken harshly to just because you're 'merican starts to wear on you after a while.

GA seems to be consistently good with quality...but yes, their prices are some of the highest around. They DO have some very affordable stuff as well, though...it's not all €15+/g. For us, we'll gladly pay extra for two reasons; the service and atmosphere were the best we experienced, and we're on vacation so we're not that concerned with spending money.

just wondering what your basis on said statement was. never thought they were overated or underated. always thought the weed was great quality. everyone iv seen in there reguardless of nationality was treated the same. i dunno.

This place is Marmite mate (sorry British advertising campaign joke(ish)). You either love it or hate it... I honestly think it caters better for the US market.

I hate the place and its very rarely I would use that word (no offence ). Only experiences I have had in there have been overpriced, shaken buds, delivered with attitude or nonchalance.

overated...overpriced,bounced buds,mediocre weed at its BEST....what is there to love about the place?....hate is a good word...im with the haters..the metal chairs are there so you wont hang around....and the budtenders..hehehe...if ya show any knowledge that makes sense,they blow ya off with the bad batch speech,ya should try it again...im not stupid,we arent stupid...dna genetics can blow me in hell....chocolope..joke,connie chung?..wtf was that?...and a mighty ripoff on the grey chrystals....ya need to bounce alot of buds to sell the amount they do..whats that tell ya?..ill pass and go around the corner to amnesia,,,

I've never been to GA, and so far see no reason to go.

Was in there once nearly 10 years ago! it struck me as cramped/overpriced & not to forget the rude staff,Needless to say ive not been back ,& happydaze you hit the nail right on the head when you say its more of an american orientated coffeeshop as most of the best reviews are from american people .

I've had some stunning weed from there but then I've also had some crap, the Golden Soles is a really tasty Moroccan hash as well.

Hey boner ive just been looking @ there menu (hash) & that stands out by a mile,£12.50 well spent if its reviews are to be listened to! think i will break my exile of the GA & buy some golden soles during my 1st day or 2,In fact the coffeeshop menus page has shaped what coffeeshops i will be hitting during my 1st few days thats for sure .

Check that it's nice and fresh and supple though otherwise walk away.

Yes, the place is small and cramped. Yes, it's expensive. The bud shaken? Not that I could tell, and I highly doubt it. They didn't have any of the crystals when I was there, so maybe they took that week off from shaking the buds? Everything I sampled was top quality, and their silver bubble was probably the best smoke of the trip. The bongs they had available for use (with no deposit) were all glass, and CLEAN.
The budtender even filled it with fresh water and handed me an alcohol wipe with it. No other shop did that, and the only other place that offered me a clean bong was 420 cafe. (The bongs in bluebird and mellow yellow were nasty!)

I met a couple from Scotland at Grey Area who were on the last day of a week long trip, they told me of all the shops they tried, they were very impressed with the gear at Grey Area and thought it was the best they had all week, so it's not just the Americans who like the place.

yeah..they are bounced shaken and rolled....before ya tell me i have no clue...and im gonna tell ya again...bounced....let me ask ya a question,,have ya ever rolled and shaken buds?....not always gonna be noticable..it depends on how long ya rolled them...im not arguing..i just know...cause i do

could you explain how it works? :>

get a pollinator...throw a pound of dry buds in it...in one minute youll have 10 or 15 grams of kif....go longer ya get alot more but it gets dirty and contaminated with alot of leaf particles and makes it taste harsh....so its easy to do and alot of the buds in the cylinder never hit the sides so of course they wont show damage...takes a minute to make 500 dollars..can ya blame them...and greed rears its ugly head....heres a hint for you kif lovers...buy a grinder with a kif screen and catcher when ya get to amsterdam..in a day or so you will have yer own to smoke and ga can sell their grey crystals to the stupid and you can smile and smoke yer own

He is claiming they rip people off by removing the tricromes from the outer surface of the buds to make grey crystals.
