Visited dampkring numourous times over the weekend. Staff were friendly, green was good and the drinks were nice. The G13 was really nice!

First time ever to Dampkring,had visited Barneys and had tried some good weed the day before so went in with no expectations.Was busy but 2 young guys were very patient and polite. As i had a bit of hash on me i purchased some salad bowl to use as mix which turned out good for it as was not any good by itself and didnt spoil hash stone.Found the Jack Herrer,Laughing Buddha ok but nothing to write home about.The Tbizia hash was a nice change from smoking Triple Zero and King Hassan but found it better mixing with other stronger weeds.My favourite weed for the whole entire trip from anywhere was Dampkrings Mexican Haze,not the strongest but got most enjoyment at the time from this smoke.If i didnt go to Katsu and try and smoke 1.6 grams of the Black Widow in one go, i wouldnt have passed out and woke up thinking 13 hours later that the German border patrol was waiting for our tour bus at the border and miss out on buying another 5 grams of mexican haze.Still find it hard to believe that they have 2 meter ceiling and a 3 metre tall guy making coffee.Loved the place.

I was in on Saturday the 11th of September. I walked in, looked at several tubs of bud, and chose a couple of mid range strains to try half grams of... planning to buy a bigger bag of whichever I preferred.

Unfortunately, after I had rolled a small joint of one of the strains, the waitress came around asking what we would like to drink. As I'd just had a couple of coffee's with breakfast, and wasn't terribly thirsty I passed. The next thing I know I have the crazy Dutch waitress screaming and wailing, "would you go to a liquor store and expect to drink what you've bought?"


I ignored her, thought it was rather odd (I mean, I understand they are a business and as such one must spend to stay, but I'd just spent more that I would on lunch, and if I bought lunch I;d be in the cafe a good 30-60mins!!!), and started gathering my things to leave, but before I've had a chance to put them away I am confronted with what I can assume is the manager.
He wants to know what is going on. I don;t feel it is unreasonable to smoke a small joint having bought two strains... I ask if it ok for me to just finish my joint and leave, even offered to move along a bit so that I wouldnt be taking up as much space, all of this reasonably loudly so the other customers can see what an idiot the waitress was. he calms the situation down, I finish my joint and leave a few minutes later.

I'd just like to point out that I am well versed in coffeeshop etiquette. Consumption is compulsory. Be that weed/drinks/both. I had just spend 10-20 euros and had every right to smoke a quick joint. I later went to HomeGrownFantasy... basically did the same, only bought some buds, they were fine with it, really friendly bunch in there...ended up staying a little while for a coffee and a another joint.

I've never found the main Dampkring to be terribly friendly, and this one I give 2/10, only for the smokes. Tweede Kamer can be nice when you catch them on a quiet time.

What a buzz kill, sorry to hear that you had to experience this type of behavior. Something I have yet to experience. Lucky me I suppose.

I was there on the 11th as well although I didn't stick around, fly and buy. I only interacted with the bud tender and he was very chill, professional, and knowledgeable about the gear offered. Bought some Aziza (nice palindrome) @14e/gm and Malika also at 14e. Both are excellent hashes, highly recommended.

The only reason I went there in the first place was because the reading lights at the bud bar in the original Dampkring were out and I couldn't read the menu. They were accommodating, or tried to be. I may have shown a bit of over-indifference to their predicament, which of course is still no excuse for my behavior. Will make amends on my next visit.

Unfortunatly that seems to be the general situ when that waitress is working , i have witnessed her going round for a drinks order and if people dont want anything she asks them to leave !!

Multiple visits to Dampkring2 but never stayed there after the purchase. Weed has always been top notch but hearing that the place is SO profit orientated is just sad. Maybe out of curiosity I'll stop by to buy some weed and stay for a smoke to see what happens...

Its always hit and miss I find. I've had Barney's staff be incredibly rude at time, but TBH the last 2 times I've been in the staff have been brilliant.

I find that Dutch people take you as they find you...maybe you just rub some of them up the wrong way? can happen, can't please all the people all of the time...

be careful when paying for your weed here.

the budtenders seem nice, but they sometimes try to rip off people.

always calculate the total amount you have to pay by yourself, and inspect how much change you get returned.

i dont think their AAA buds stand the competition from shops like hunters and greenplace, but they have very decent AA buds around the 8€ mark (check out their amnesia/cheese/special skunks!

Yeah Cisco, I have witnessed the same thing almost everytime I have been in there. That particular waitress wasn't working on Wednesday/Thursday when I visited though so I 'celebrated' by voluntarily buying drinks

Loved this place, first joint I ever had in Amsterdam was here. We got a gram of LA confidential, amnesia haze and NYC diesel. All were incredible but the NYC Diesel is the best tasting smoke I've ever had! Staff were friendly, but we had to buy a drink...
We were all thirsty from travelling all day so we ordered a chocomel each, and WOW... Just WOW!

Yep, had this before... well simular thing happened, I had actually bought a drink and a couple grams of the higher priced weed, but before i had even finished my drink a waitress was coming round asking me 2 buy another... i pointed out that i hadnt finished my 1st drink yet but when i do and i require a new drink i will go to the bar myself or gesture to her the next time she comes round!!!, unfortunately by the next time she came around I hadnt drunk anymore of my drink lol, think this pissed her off... and as she shuffled down the stairs i could hear unwelcoming comments ... Still, normally get some good Cheese from here, and i've had good LA Con a few years ago and the Hot Chocolates are great . Also love the little weed parafinalia vending machine by the bar.

Walled in on Friday night, noticed the crazy girl was working so decided to buy and fly. Wanted to try some rifman hash as I never have before. Was looking for either habibi, malaki or Aziza. Aziza was the only one on the menu, it is a dark hash, almost like playdough, very soft! Very strong high, creamy taste, lovely hash!
