I must be VERY honest...
I was expecting a lot from this, but the truth is it was really busy, I didn't feel it a very cozy and comfortable place, and unfortunately the girl who was selling the weed wasn't so perfect (professionally speaking) as others BT were for me.
I asked to smell the Kushberry and she put the tube in my nose, didn't let me get one in my hand and also make joke when I tried to approximate the tube from my nose. Its ok, she is in her right but as a costumer, I didn't like that.
But I must say the Kushberry was one of the best weeds of the Trip (#3) and the Grand Cru was also a great hash, but Ive preferred Twizzla, Rootang and Finger Hash more.
I would love to have met Nel and maybe my perception would be different, but its ok, I will try it again next year and lets see if this changes...

I never touch the buds in a shop. Would you want someone grubby hands all over the buds before you smoke them? What if they had been handling hard drugs before they came to the coffeeshop? Not saying it has happened but it definitely could.

We do tend to discourage customers from touching the buds. The oils on fingers can damage trichomes and we wouldn't want that. Glad you liked our stuff though, hope to meet you next time.

Sorry guys, as I said before this was my main first time in Amsterdam so I just tried to follow what others were doing all the time in all Coffeeshops (asking to check with their hands the bud). I must say I always asked the BTs if I could have a look and smell, and after that, if needed, if I can handle it in my finger to have a better look in other angles.
I wouldn't do that with no permission and I do agree with Nel and Balou that if everyone touches the weed it will lost the quality but again, I was just doing what everyone was doing - thats the best thing to do when you're a beginner in a specific thing.
I think next time I will go to Amsterdam I won't touch anymore the buds and honestly (lol) will be a little angry seeing others touching! hehe.
Nel, hopefully next time gonna meet you. And congratulations for Kushberry, for sure a hammer on the head!

I have to agree, it really puts me off when I see some shops allowing anybody to touch the product. If I was buying meat form a butcher he wouldnt let me feel the meat first. And then you say actually im ok Ill leave it for today. Anything could be on their hands, personally I feel its quite unprofessional not only that as Nel says it damages the bud as well. Some people might think that I am going over the top in the way that I feel about it but I just dont agree that it should be permitted. Smelling and seeing should be enough in my opinion to get a good feeling whether you would like to purchase or not.

i never feel the weed , i just check and sniff .
why would i wanna feel the weed ?
the only coffeeshops i buy numerous grams of weed are voyagers, utopia, clubmedia, siberie, and paradox.
I trust these coffeeshops on their quality , and it has never let me down.
Other shops i just buy drinks and food , sometimes some weed if it looks REALLY good ,and heard about it at the forum or something , but mostly not .

I have never been offered to handle the gear prior to buying and hopefully never will. For me the best sign is to be offered to either or both look at and smell the gear as part of the buying process.

Mind you never been here yet, but is on my list of must visits in the same way Grey Area & Voyagers was for the first ever time last year on forum reviews alone and will form part of my coffeeshop crawl on my first night on the 27th August evening.

Same as me I only buy from a few sources when I go as I find that the quality is generally better at the more reputable shops. Only shop I often go to is 420 and buy weed for tradition not for the quality or though its still generally good. Tradition being that it was my first coffee shop experience.

I'll never touch the buds without being offered by the tender... sometimes I ask though
Popped in here a couple times... only bought cheese and kushberry though... The Cheese was particularly stella... I believe Inge served us the first time, and a damn fine job she done too... No doubt we were served by Nel the second time though, right before we grabbed a bucket of chicken for the Ingerland game
Utopia takes pride of place on the list of shops I will continue to frequent while I/we can..... piccies.
Anyone who has made a few trips to Amsterdam over the last few years will most likely know Nel.. I have been shown fine Glass in the Roor shop by him before, and also served smokes and English tea in HomeGrownFantasy... A top tender who will happily chat to ya about all things Mokum.

The champagne haze is really a nice herb.
i my opinion the most hazes in the dam smell and taste a little bit like amnesia.
This haze was a bit fruity but not that strong like a amnesia and had another color also.
lovely to smoke. But it makes me brutal stoned never had this before from haze and was a bit confused or stonfused.
overall great bud like always from here

i also liked the champagne haze, it is well cured so you get the nice haze flavour without the harshness of some ssh's out there
KUSHBERRY!
outstanding smoke of the trip. the taste is so strong blueberry bubblegumish, and it really is a hard hitter
still have to try their citronella and honey haze
Edit: forgot to mention the service was perfect, every customer got the chance to smell and look at what they wanted, even if they already made a choice from te menu. This drags the customers to the right lane to select their smoke, i liked that. "if you have any question or want to smell something just let me know"

Not doubting that you saw some people touching buds whilst there, but I don't believe for one minute that
everyone in
all the shops as you claim were touching buds.
