Another vote for Utopia here. A very friendly, welcoming place and Nel clearly takes great pride in his work. His champagne haze blew the back of my head off and had me beautifully wrecked for hours.

This place deserves to be the busiest coffeeshop in Amsterdam.

Without this board I wouldn't have been aware of Utopia. I'd have seen it as just another coffeeshop iin the centre, and would probably not have risked the possibility of getting mediocre wares from there when there were shops within walking distance I knew and trusted.

But I went in on my first evening this time, got a gram of excellent temple ball and enjoyed meeting Nel and having a coffee and smoke in this treasure of a shop. Ended up going back twice more for 5g deals, and the only thing I regret is that I didn't try other things as well. But I'm sure I'll be back.

(By the way -- not sure if gapie was in there the first night I was, which would have been Sunday 29 July, around 6.30pm. Someone who looked like his pic was with two other guys at the table at the front window, but I couldn't be sure. Gapie, was that you?)

Well me and my partner popped in here for the first time on Tuesday at about 11:30am. I was served by a very friendly blonde lady, who reccommended the strawberry sour diesel, kushberry and the grand cru, all three were very nice smokes. I will be back here for some of the champagne though.

All in all a fantastic little shop.

well,can i just say that i am 1000% totally impressed with the utopia,the weed there is TOP NOTCH!!! i had the champagne haze,as i didnt want anything to stoney,the lovely ingi recommended champagne haze so i took her at her word! lovely smoke,smelled great,covered in crystals,well worth the 11 euro p.g that i parted with.
My hubby had a whitey,and we were given a mars bar and an aa energy drink on the house,which we forced down his neck,and within a minute or two,he was fine,i think it was a combination of driving for four hours from calais to amsterdam,with very little to eat,and very hot weather,
What i didnt realize though,is that the lovely ingi has been serving me for about the past 3 years,because as soon as i walked in,she recognized me,and greeted me with a very friendly 'Welcome back!!!' we had a chat about other topics,then some friends turned up and we sat down to drinks and smokeables.....,i think we must have spend quite a lot of time here this time round,we were in there every day,and found the other staff,(an english guy i assume was nel,and another girl,whos name i did not know) very pleasant and helpful.
I would 1000% recommend this establishment to anyone,if you want quality weed,and exeptional customer service..
And Ingi,how did you get on at the dentist the other saturday??? did the large spliff of isolator do the trick??
Hopefully we can return at some point,so we will be keeping an eye on the weed pass developements,but again thank you for a brilliant time

Popped in again on Friday and grabbed a gram of the champagne haze very good, covered in crystals and has defiantly caused me some brain damage. pound for pound probably the best bud I bought this time

I'm with you, defo worth checking out...
The world became nicer and kinder after smoking 0.5gms of Strawberry Sour Diesel, very nice indeed...
Their Ice-o-lator at 20/gm is as reasonable as it can get, price wise (I say that reservedly), and after having sampled a bit, definitely better than anything twice the price...
... just a poor, dirt/hydro farmers opinion.

Was not that impressed.

Had a few joints of Devils 13, was fine nothing to write home about. Shared a muffin with a friend and where fucked for a good three hours! Great times!

Checked out Utopia for the first time last week, the smoke we got was ok, but we were sold the same strain as 2 different things.
My friend and I purchased at seperate times, me asking for OG 18 and him Devils 13. They were 100% the same thing, identical to the pic above, and certainly not OG or anything like it. I was charged 14.50e and my mate 12e.
It was the owner serving me and he didn't seem too friendly. It could simply have been a mistake, i was given buds out the OG 18 tub, so maybe Devils 13 was put in there as well as the tub it should have been in by accident. Oh well. The girl was really nice though, and you could tell she had passion for the place, and was especially excited to have OG on the menu. Id give them another try to see if it was a one off, but getting sold something else as OG 18 is not a good place to start! I should have said something, but being stoned and the weed still being decent, i left it rather than risk an unpleasant confrontation.

I must say that I think it far more likely that the boss has weighed two grams from the same box than for there to have been one weed in two boxes.

I think you can clearly see that these are not the same.

However this does not make up for the fact that you paid too much and did not get the weed you'd asked for, and for this I must apologise again- mistakes happen and sadly more frequently when the boss is behind the counter!
Are you still in town? If so come by, and if not then I'll sort you out something by way of compensation next time you're here.

Wow that og 18 looks like it´s really amber would love to try a real knock out version and not that early harvestet shit maybe come over the weekend.

Had some of that Devil's 13 on one of our visits to Utopia over last weekend. It was very distinctive. Nice, although I was more impressed with some of our other purchases from the shop.

We went through a lot of Champagne Haze. Just lovely stuff, couldn't have enjoyed it more. I also developed quite a taste for the Lemon Skunk, not the most expensive and a very balanced smoke. We also had a little bit of the Strawberry Sour Diesel too which I thought was excellent, though it was also good at Voyagers where it was on offer.

Generally I really rated Utopia. The shop itself had a nice vibe and was very unpretentious. Not very big and ultimately quite a basic space, but it is well used. Staff seemed nice, especially the woman who was working on Sunday when the weather was so ridiculously and unpleasantly hot/humid. And the menu was both interesting and high quality. Impressed.
