DC, i think you've identified a huge issue in modern gaming, a lack of cooking implements which are used as murder weapons.DC wrote:Forget airstrikes, forget rocket launchers, forget M249 light machine guns, fek it... forget circus style knife throwing aswell.....give me a frying pan anyday!.![]()

After a fair few hours of playing it i think there is alot of Hype thats helped shift this game. Dunno about Xbox version but the PS3 one seems pretty slow in campaign mode and pretty shit TBH. Multiplayer online was okay but the matchmaking is slow. I will continue to play and see if it improves but for me WAW is still prefered.

quite simply this isn't my type of game. alot of people i know online were hyping it up so maybe i went into it with high expectations. but i played it, didn't like it, thought it was shit actually and so did my friend. reminded me of a more complicated 3rd person version of house of the dead. as for knife throwing until that vid was posted i didn't even know knives existed in this cod. as i said i dont play a ton of video games like some do and have only played like 2 games online in cod. guess i'll be more careful when expressing my opinion about video gaming. this seemed to touch a nerve. then again guess i should have expected this. someone last week acted as if i had slapped their own mom when i told them i didn't think pulp fiction was a great film.DC wrote:Driving has nothing to do with L4D, sorry if that was too cryptic and and went over your head...erm...If you don't like apples, don't eat an apple?. Apples also have nothing to do with L4D.cantona7 wrote: whats driving have to do with left 4 dead? i dunno if this is your fave game or something you sound insulted. although seeing as this is just a message board i dont really feel i owed anyone a thought out explination because i wasn't trying to get into a debate. its just personal preference. my friend i was playing with didn't like it either. graphics were not that great. to hard to kill the enemy when your playing as a zombie on online play and to easy to get killed when your a zombie as well. also in the game i played once you got killed you were out for the round, i thought this was pretty lame. once again this is personal preference. to be fair i dont play video games very much in comparison to some of you guys.As for insulted, dude....it's a game, nothing more. A 'co-op' team game by the way, the versus is just a bit of extra fun. The graphics (to you) might not be that great, but then, they're not that bad either and create an accurately good atmosphere for the type of game it is. Which, considering nobody is actually shooting at you, is a welcome break from the unending punk pogo infront of another player, trying to get the lucky shot off...that most first person multiplayers ultimately boil down to. Unless you can throw knives over buildings, but try that shit in a deathmatch and see how many times you pull it off. Anyway, before I waste anymore time, if all your honest opinion can muster is 'It's shit' then yeah, ok, thanks for the input....deffinately worth the paper it's written on.
educating myself and waiting for the next trip.

Well if it came in the form of "gotta say im not a Pulp Fiction fan. Watched it on Blu ray and the story imo was shit if im honest. i dont really dig the whole Tarantino thing." I'm still not surprised!. The simple point being, if yer gonna give people yer 'honest' opinion, show some common courtesy and also give a few reasons to back it up.

maybe im different. when someone gives their opinion on something as trivial as a film or video game no matter how vague i just figure they don't like it and get on with life(speaking for myself). i couldn't really care less what someone elses opinion is on such subjects much less why they feel that way. maybe if you and i were in person id give you a full detailed explanation as to why i dont like left 4 dead but if im honest i dont find it that big a deal to post it on a message forum.
and for the record when i told my friend(in person) i didn't like pulp fiction i explained myself in detail as to why. and yet dude still seemed offended.

Why post a trivial point of view in such a trivial topic then. If it's so beneath ya, why say anything at all if you 'couldn't even care less' what other peoples opinions on it are.. ADHD?....or did you mean to sign into the rhetorical message forum. Maybe...you are different, but then maybe you should be lookin at the pattern that might be forming here, instead of the coincidence.
Come to think of it...who started this thread?

i really think your reading into things . i never said i thought anything was beneath me . and adhd? wtf? i started this thread about cod mw2. and i didn't attack anyone who had a negative opinion about it regardless of how vague or detailed their explanation was. so go on accusing me of having adhd if you feel the need. you posted your opinion about l4d and i posted mine. if i didn't have a detailed enough explanation to meet your standards apologize. i felt saying i dont go for the whole zombie thing was sufficient. i didn't like any of the resident evil games, dead rising or any other zombie games either.
and what i meant to say was i couldn't care less enough to insist they give me a "valid" reason as to why they hated the film/game. they do or dont like it...good enough for me.
this debate will prob go nowhere, the best thing to do is prob agree to disagree.

You should maybe read the thread in which ya started and are posting in....atleast to get things into their proper chronological order and perspective. Also, while yer at it, look up the definition of 'sarcasm'.
So this thread was meant to contain just yes or no answers/opinions....nice....maybe check out the definition of 'shallow' too.
